FWIW, it’s been working great. The Anker power banks last forever and I’ve had zero issues. Not sure average crew can hear the difference, but I definitely can and the flexibility of offering an SSID with Airplay target makes it painless for other folks to DJ. Pretty slick. Find myself starting with USB off the Fusion at launch for convenience and autoplay and then shifting to AUX Pi as we pass the the no wake zone.

Awesome. I have all the DAC stuff getting delivered today. Hopefully have it running before this weekend's camping trip. I went with a 12v-24v to 5v step down converter and just going to hard wire it vs running on the power. I have the RA70 and hate how fiddley the bluetooth and changing phones is. Hopefully this will be less so. Thanks again, ill report back how it goes. BTW your boat looks killer. Hoping to do something similar with ours in the next few years.

I went with an isolated approach due to how my HU and amps are wired to ignition. I didn’t want to hard stop the Pi every time I turned the key. That USB type-C + type-B extension flush mount plug in the glovebox seemed like the safe approach. Plus it lets you have USB flash plugged in at the same time.

Yea the extra USB Flash is a nice touch. I have my stereo wired to one of my rocker switches as to make sure none of my amps are on during starting. I'll add a relay on the same rocker for the Pi. My starter battery is isolated from the house bank so cranking shouldn't affect either way. I will let you know how it goes!

Open to cometics, but thinking preventative maintenance on engine and drive train. Need help here, as I'm over my skis. Aspiring to new rudder, rudder box, etc., but that can wait IMO. Boat is solid and drives on rails. New steering cable and water test in March. Will discuss new rudder, engine alignment, etc. with shop. Thinking about parts, availability, and preventive maintenance. What should I be looking for; either Indmar related or otherwise that may be hard to come by? Risers? Need some wisdom here from old 205V boat owners please.

While my 205V is not near as nice as yours, we have the same dreams. Below is the list of things that I have on my list for some day.

Fresh air exhaust
dome light (maybe RBG? mounted to bottom side of tower pointing down)
Remove carpet and replace with deckadence
Separate intake for KGB/bow ballast pump
Electric over hydraulic brakes
attitude adjustment plate

You have a fantastic looking boat! I love the idea for the fender pads, I will definitely plan to do that some day, thanks for sharing the drawings for that.

I am kind of a DIY mechanic, so the engine stuff is what I am more comfortable with. Here is a list to start with as far as engine maintenance (part numbers assume you have the MCX chevy/indmar 350 ci small block). Also you dont have to do all of these, evaluate the condition of what you have, and how long its been in service, and change what you think is necessary:

Always add marine stabil (unless using fuels with no ethanol), as fuel can start degrading with as little as two weeks sitting.
Use 89 octane fuel, which is what the manual calls out.
Clean the alternator and starter motor terminals with wire brush and baking soda/water mixture.
Change the drive belt (Indmar 725034)
Change the PCV valve (look for old new stock on ebay, look for "made in usa", pn AC Delco CV-774-C)
Change Raw Water Impeller (Johnson 09-812B-1)
Change ballast impellers (Jabsco 6303-0007-P)
Clean and oil spark arrestor (Indmar 525011 / K&N 59-5006)
Change engine oil (15W-40)
Change engine oil filter (Wix 51060 / Mobil 1 M1302A)
Change transmission oil (specific to your boat, mine is different. I have heard that for v drives, ATF is no longer recommended, instead use 15W-40 motor oil, check this for yourself first)
Change transmission filter (specific to your boat, mine is different)
Change V-Drive oil (specific to your boat, mine is different)
Change MAP sensor (GM 9359409)
Change Thermostat (Indmar 985009)
Change Thermostat gasket (Indmar 531058)

Ignition Tune Up
Change spark plugs (AC Delco MR43LTS)
Change plug wires (Indmar 756002)
Change distributor cap (Indmar 556083 / Napa RR249)
Change distributor rotor (Indmar 556084 / Napa RR250)

As far as your rudder upgrade, the popular thing to do is get the 06 and later rudder from mastercraft (Mastercraft 200178 rudder, use with Mastercraft 200172 rudder port). I dont know if the upgraded rudder port is necessary for the 06 rudder or if you can reuse your existing port.

FYI I figured this out. The part that is called 200178 and is for sale currently is actually 200178a and is not a drop in fit, it does require the 200172 updated rudder port not because of shaft diameter but because of a shorter shaft length.

There is a discontinued MC part 200162 which is the same shape but the correct length shaft and is a drop in fit. This was the part that came equipped on the 06 year boats and is why it is called the "06 rudder upgrade". You'll have to source it on the second hand market though, OJ doesn't make it anymore.
