I’ve been thinking of putting one before the pump also.
    Remember what you used?
Appreciate any insight you might have

For the two fuel filters, there seems to be some conflicting information in these threads. I've seen:

    2 in-line fuel filters (1 @ tank, 1 @ motor) WIX #- 33481

    And also:
    Napa Fuel Filter - 3481 (Wix 33481)
    Napa Fuel Filter - 3482 (Wix 33482)

I've e-mailed MasterCraft and am awaiting confirmation on their answer, but any definitive information, specifically for a 1998 LT1 in a ProStar 205, on which filter numbers go where (tank vs. engine)?

Super informative thread...I appreciate the insight from all!

Thanks for the quick replies. Both of the filters mentioned cross to the M1 filter I use. But, none cross to a Corvette of that year. And, searching for a filter for a 1995 Corvette does not bring up the LT1 engine as an option.
So, I will keep using what I have used, the Mobil One High Mileage 10W-40 and the M-1 filter.
It was in the 40's last night so the season is winding down now.

Sad time of year that these winterization threads are popping up.

Go with the Napa Platinum 41060 filter for synthetic. Same filter as a Wix. This is what I use in my 94' LT1.

On sale for $8.99 right now.

    Oil Filter??

I hope someone is still reading this board.

    MC PS190 1995

1610 Hours. Middle Maine, so 3 months in the water, tops, each season.

I have always used Mobil-One oil and filters. The oil change is always the end of the season.

The M1 oil filter I have used for years is not there anymore, it is now M1-XXX A. So, I did a little research about filters, and the only information I can find is for cars, like Corvettes, of that year. But, that shows a different filter from what I have been using.

So, simple question: does anyone have a number for the right M1 filter for the 1995 LT1?

Obviously, the filter I have used for many, many years must be OK, but my curiosity has been piqued. Any suggestions?

    Winterization/summerization of 5.7 TBI

Has anyone made a similar parts list for the 5.7 275 HP TBI? I feel like i have seen it some where but can't find this morning.

    The chickens response

Put antifreeze through it. It won't hurt anything.

Sta-bil's fogging explanation and process below is a decent reference point. I also tend to neglect my sparkplugs but it's a good time to gap them or replace if needed.

Gravity wreaks its havoc on stored engines. Oils and lubricants drain away from cylinder walls, piston rings, and other critical engine components.
