New ride from the other team.....

My buddy, who has a SN, went to the dealer to get yet another part for his ride. Anyway, while he was there he saw a brand new SN 196 being prepped for a local boys and girls camp. I think the pic pretty much sums it up!

The thing that bothers me is that a boy's/girl's camp uses MC or SN at their camps. Because either boat is going to get TRASHED. They are too good of boats to be beat on that it is going to be. But then again, any other boat wouldn't be able to withstand the punishment.

Couldn't imagine spending that kind of money to pull tubers all day. Camp must be doing well. Pretty funny pic!

That boat (or a MC) will still be pulling tubers when any I/O would be ready to be scuttled.

A camp that I worked at in the early 90s would buy three new boats at dealer cost every season (I think they were Malibus, can't remember for sure). They would sell them at the end of the summer for more than they paid for them. Obviously they had a good relationship with the dealer to make this happen -- kind of the dealer's way of donating to a good cause lol.

I actually heard about nautiques offering deals like this to camps for cost to get their boats out there in front of a bunch of people. I heard they do this because this is the first time these kids ski or tube. If that's true seams pretty smart to me.

I love the jet fighter appearance and fit of the PS 197, but truth be told, the recent SN 196 is a sweet slalom pull. At grass roots tournaments you get to ski behind MC, SN, and BU. I really enjoy the pull behind the SN. But the MC just looks great.

I think it is a crime to pull a tube from any of these boats.
