I hate to point this out Tricky, but you actually helped my argument. Look at that list. TCU is a good team. BYU is decent. And if I recall correctly, Oregon State BEAT USC.....Uh so, I think you may want to rethink that point. Not only that, Utah SPANKED, Alabama.

Isn't Alabama in the SEC? Aren't SEC teams supposed to be the best of the best, nearly as good as NFL teams? That has been your agrument for as long as I can remember, so with that said when Utah comes along and SPANKS an sec team that was #1 for 5 weeks in a major bowl game, and it doesn't matter? I think that the bama QB was wearing a Utah jersey by the end of the game as many times as he was sacked.

In all fairness, it's very hard for mid-major teams to get good majors to play them. There is nothing in it for them. If a school like Florida played and beat Utah in the regular season, then people would say,"They should have beat them, it's Utah.". It wouldn't gain them anything extra in the voting process, but if they lost to Utah then it would crush them in the voting process, thus, why should a team as good as Florida play them? Most mid-majors are lucky to get 2 really good non-conference games on the schedule, and then no one takes them seriously because they play a "weaker" conference schedule.

Plus 2 other teams that finished 7-6. Just sayin'.

alabama obviously hasn't been the same since get tromped by florida... and i'm not making excuses for alabama (b/c i'm an Auburn University Alumnus and i really don't EVER mind seeing bama beat b/c the only person i want to see beat and demoralized out of the whole bama system is Saban... he's a cocky jerk and an out and out a-hole... yet the bammers view him as the truth the light and the way... when he made the pre-game comments about whishing they could play somebody from a "real BCS conference" he should have a little better memory than that looking back to last yr w/ Tulane and Louisiana Monroe... figgin' idiot... parenthetical rant over) but when you lose a true sophomore, two time all-american left tackle from your offensive line (b/c he's a idiot) it'll really throw a wrench in your gears... but that being said... bama got romped and it wasn't nearly the same team who showed up against ole miss (only team to beat florida this season...) or uga (preseason favorite for sec-west and some picked for nation champs...)... it is a rare and impressive thing to go undefeated in the sec and no one can honestly say differently w/ the parity in this conference... so i say all that to say congrats to utah b/c i wanted them to get romped but if they weren't going to lose then major props to them b/c i wanted them make saban look dumb

As for Oregon St., BYU, and TCU you are going to come up with the same conclusion as your argument against Utah, but as bbymgr pointed out it is an endless agrument for these mid major teams (Oregon St. excluded).

I still say it is unfair that Utah doesn't get a piece. I mean the argument for them is better than Boise St. a few years back when they beat Oklahoma, I mean Boise BARELY won that game. This is a completely different situation. Utah brought the hammer, end of story.

Utah isn't on the field w/ Florida or Oklahoma... but that being said i didn't think alabama would get worked like they did either
