ok still two weeks away for this game but from looking at past scores against comparable teams, I'd be willing to say this is going to be one tough game all around and predict the U of U will come out on top. Utah had a bad game against Wyoming and also played Colorado State in the rain. Next weeks game for the U will determine more of what's to come for TCU. Utah's schedule for the rest of the season is no cake walk and should show they're worthy of the PAC12 invite. At least for every few years they'll put up worthy seasons. ha ha....

Garbage....
Boise State has lost 1 game in the last three years... if they run the table, they DESERVE to be there more than any other team. Major conference or not, the game is played EVERYWHERE with 18-22 year old kids, blue chip recruits or not. Boise State is winning games with 2 star recruits... that should tell us all something. If they are undefeated and not in the NC game, it will be a crying shame.

Totally agree but it will be a shame because they won't get in unless Oregon takes a loss. Which I sure hope happens. SEC champ will be one of the teams for sure - then Oregon or Michigan State if they run the table. Boise State and TCU will get another BCS bowl game but no championship game. I don't agree with it but the big conferences bring in the $$$ and that's what it is all about.

I watched Michigan State live at Northwestern on Saturday... there is no way on Gods green earth that they are a NC contender. I would be surprised if they win their game vs. Iowa. Even if they do, that is not a great football team. And if Auburn loses to Alabama, leaving no undefeated SEC teams, there is NO WAY that a one loss SEC teams gets into the NC when there are other undefeated teams out there. Just my two cents.

You guys ever think that a team like Boise State or TCU will get a shot at the National Title game? I mean, how long do they have to go undefeated or be ranked in the top ten consecutively to get a shot? The game shouldnt be dictated by money. In my opinion they should have a playoff system just like all other collegiate sports. Then there wouldnt be any question of who the best team is. They would prove it on the field and not in the polls!
I agree with you guys but all I am saying is how it's going to play out because the big conferences pull all the weight. If the stars align and schools loose from the Pac10, Big10, and SEC then Boise might get in but the computers will always place a one loss SEC champ or one loss Pac10 school in over Boise because of strength of schedule. The WAC is killing Boise and hence their move to the Mountain West but Utah leaving doesn't help their cause.
If it were up to humans Boise might get in this year because of human emotion factor but since the BCS is computer driven history and feeling is not a determining factor.
But I sure wish Boise State could get a shot. They deserve and earned a shot!!
And yes - a playoff system would sure make all of this easier. But how many teams make the playoff? Oh boy.........

Agree with the majority of what you stated... except for the "strength of schedule" bit about the PAC10. There can't be SOS in a conference that only has one good team...

Granted, there would be a lot of teams. I think it would def take a few years to hash out, but anything is better than leaving it up to a computer! I agree with the Boise State comment, THEY DO DESERVE A SHOT!!

Actually the PAC10 has a bunch of very good teams this year with the exception of Wazzu. Top to bottom it is a very tough run this year and everyone is beating up on each other. There isn't a gimme game this year except Wazzu and even they have shown some signs of life, granted small signs.
