The SEC "best conference in the country" argument is getting old. Says who? The SEC?? I don't think they're as strong as they pretend to be. I think BSU and/or TCU should get a shot at the national title if they are able to finish perfect. Enough of the consolation prize talk for these teams especially BSU. Did BSU not beat both Virginia Tech (away) and Oregon State? Haven't seen any of the SEC teams sign up to play them especially on the blue turf... ;-)
Exactly why we need a playoff system so those who "think" they are the best and should "always" be in the title game...let them prove it. Tired of the "strength of schedule" trump card that proves nothing and is a perpetual shoe-in for 1 or 2 loss teams from conferences with over-stuffed visions of grandeur.
A level playing field should determine the national champion. Period. All the best teams should get a shot.
Love college football. Loathe the BCS and feel-good bowl games. Computers... Voting... Come on. Let the warriors battle it out. How long do we have to endure this panzy system? Wonder why so many watch the Superbowl? Because the teams playing are the ones left - they beat out the best to earn the right to play for the ring.

Alabama caught grief when we scheduled SJSU for not getting tougher out of conference teams. SJSU and BSU are in the same conference along with a bunch of other no name, glorified high school teams.
If BSU wants to play for the national title they need to join a BCS conference.
If they somehow get to play for the national title coming from their joke of a conference I will be outraged. I compare it to little leagues where the losing teams get a trophy too.

I'm pursuing my lifelong quest for the perfect, the absolutely driest martini to be found in this or any other world. And I think I may have hit upon the perfect formula:

Have to point out again that BSU hasn't lost to a BCS conference school for three years... so to say that they are a "little league'' team sure shines a light on the quality of teams in your supposed superior BCS conferences.
