It hasn't been announced yet....but if the freaking BCS puts alabama in against lsu in the championship game I'm calling bull$hit. Ok State is a conference champion. alabama isn't even a division champion in their conference. There isn't any reason that Oklahoma state shouldn't be in that game and given the chance to play for the title. alabama basically already beat lsu (if they could kick a field goal) so what is the point really? This system is crap, has been for a long time, and this season REALLY shows what crap it really is.

Don't know how the Houston loss in ConfUSA has anything to do with the level of play in the SEC. And to say no conference is close to the level of play in the SEC--I guess we'll see in the bowls. I'm not necessarily disagreeing, as 'Bama and LSU coming out of one division in one conference says a lot, but again, we'll never really know without a playoff system. The bowls tend to match-up the Big Ten and SEC so that will be somewhat of a barometer of play between two of the top three conferences (Big 12 being the other, at least ranked by the "analysts"). Year after year the SEC does seem to put out some great teams, but this year OSU is more deserving. OSU didn't play a Division 1 AA team(cupcake), and they had 3 Top 15 wins this year as apposed to 1 for Alabama. In my mind it also matters that Alabama lost to LSU at home. It would have been different if they were on the road, but they lost at home. Another thing I don't think people are taking into consideration, OSU lost on the road 1 day after the 2 coaches died. One of the top 3 wins is to a .500 team so it's difficult to say that it means something. We have two teams with one loss each. I'll give that the death of the coaches was a tough deal and I'm sure it had an impact on the players. But when one team has a loss to the #1 team and the other has a loss to an unrank .500 team, which loss hurts your standings more?Originally posted by bbymgr View Post

I agree 100%. We already know lsu is better than alabama by a fieldgoal kicker. What we won't find out now is whether Ok State is better than lsu which in my estimation is more worth answering than whether or not alabama has improved on special teams. Watching these two play again proves nothing except how flawed the system is. What a waste. The BCS got it right. There is no way that a team who lost to an unranked team who finished 6-6 should play for the Natty.
And everyone arguing for a playoff, do you not realize that rematches would be very common in a playoff.
Lets not forget that the SEC wanted to move towards a playoff and who turned it down? The big XII.Comment
