The BCS is a bunch of crap and they have really proven it again this year. I am just a very frustrated college football fan. I don't have a horse in this race but just want to see a good NC game, not a rematch. I have already watched this game and LSU won, Bama had their chance and lost. Now it's the next guy's shot and the rest of the country thinks the same way which will probably hurt TV ratings as people tune out except in the SE part of the country.

I believe back in 2005 Saban said only conference champions should play in the NC game. I wonder if he still feels the same way??

How about another stick in the fire - will LSU fans claim a split championship if bama wins? The AP voters could have a say in it also. I thought the BCS was supposed to fix this but apparently not.....bunch of crap!

That is another issue, why have 3 BIG 10- SEC match ups and they all come on at the same time?

AND if there were at least a 4 team playoff a rematch would be justified and accepted.

If you win in the regular season and lose in the SB do you get to split anything?

Nope but a different scenario with a playoff system in place and they have beaten all of the other qualified teams to get there. With the current system in place for college football and no playoffs Alabama had their shot, now it is OSU's shot. If Bama and LSU had not played yet I would be torn on who should play. Just my opinion.....

I would agree with you if not for this. You can't drop a game to a .500 unranked team and expect to play for the title!!

True - that was a bad loss but you could easily argue that game should have been postponed and not played that soon after the school's tragedy. They played like they were distracted.

If I was Iowa, I would have been happy to play the game at a later date. Very tragic indeed.

I know they were slightly better than .500, but in 2007 LSU lost to a Kentucky team that had a 3-5 conference record and still got into the BCS Championship. After looking a little closer, Alabama, #1 defense, didn't play a team that was in the top 10 offense catagory. LSU did, Oregon, and showed that they can stop a great offense.

You do realize the #1 ranking in offense was Houston, right? The team that never played a ranked team and got nuked by the first ranked team they faced, #24 So Miss.

Apparently you haven't been following any of the human polls. But, your right it is speculation that is pretty much "tide"d to facts.
