Yes, we beat Arkansas last year. That game happened, just like USC is the National Champ from that year Reggie Bush was there. USC were champs that year and Bush was the Heisman winner, period. The Buckeyes beat Arkansas last year, period. You can say it was vacated, whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, but the games were played.

As for this game, I never expected to win. This 'Fickel' year will get filed with the cooper years. Just as I'm sure you have filed the 0-10 season the gaytors had in 79' or whatever season that was long enough ago that you are old enough to remember, but I wasn't. (Did you like that subtle slam on your advancing years? ) Thank goodness Fickel is gone (sort of), thank goodness a new OC is coming to town and we can move on with a new era of Buckeye Football.

.....and to get to this game for a second.....it was a special teams that did it. The gaytors offense is nothing to write home about, nor is their defense because if our brain-trust OC would have stuck with Boom Heron for the majority of the game, we win.....but no, he just had to run his veritcal passing game without our best TE and a freshman QB. What an idiot.

At 6-6, neither team should have been playing on a New Years Day bowl game...period. It is all about the money anymore I'm afraid.

Have I mentioned that the Bengals are in the playoffs? Oops, wrong thread!

For the record, pryor is dead to all Buckeyes fans. He is held in the same regard as clarett.....maybe worse. Both are idiots, however this idiot cost us THE SENATOR.

That's not how I remember it.

Whatever season it was that they are making USC 'vacate'....or whatever that means. Aren't they making USC vacate their PAC 10 championship or something? Whatever they are making them vacate is just rediculous, they played, they won the games, their record stands. We don't have a flux-capacitor, and until we do their record is their record.

I had to come back to this post. Pryor did not cost Tressel his job. Tressel trying to cover up the infraction is what led to his demise.

Look, if you think Tressel covered up the infraction, you are a fool. Tressel told his superiors what Pryor (and others) did. If you think for a second he didn't turn it in because he "didn't know" I have some ocean front property in North Dakota for you. He told the University Athletic Department, they knew, they just didn't turn it in. But when the IRS let the University know what they had found they had to tell the NCAA about it and then they set Tressel out to take the fall. If they don't, the consequences would have fallen on the entire athletic department instead of just the football program. The entire situation makes me sick because the athletic department (and I fear most athletic departments) would do the same thing over again to cover their arses (and ultimately their bottom line). All of this over some tattoos and some material items that were given to them.........(where is the little vomit smilie when you need it).

I hate that it is happening, but my friends and I are beginning to look at college football differently because of how money is ruining it. Truly sad.
