ESPN has been blowing up Miami / Florida State and both lose opening weekend in blowout fashions.

All four college game day officials picked Miami over LSU and the Tigers came to play!!

The way/timing in which he left Cincinnati to go to nd. Left those Cincinnati boys right before the biggest bowl game in school history to take the nd job. Completely classless. He had guys that gave him 4 years to build up that program and he walked out on them without finishing what they started as a group. If he didn't ask nd to let him complete the season, shame on him. If he did ask and they said no, shame on nd AND then shame on him again for not telling nd they can wait because he has to start what he finished with those guys. It was 2 weeks. Either way, he showed his colors with that move, total lack of respect for his players and he showed it. I don't know how any player would go to play for him after seeing what lack of respect he has for them. As a coach you are supposed to stand WITH your players, not abandon them on their biggest moment for a paycheck.

To be clear, I don't fault him for wanting to get to a bigger/more elite program, just show some character and class when you do it. Don't leave during the season. If the school that you are going to won't let you wait and gives you a 'now or never', then you can see how much they think of student athletes and that should make you not want to coach for them. Because what does that tell you about how they will treat/view you?

I forgot about this. You're correct but it's better than Bobby Petrino leaving a note in the players locker when he left Atlanta for Arkansas.

Yea, leaving a note on your players locker that you are leaving pretty much defines your character for the rest of your days.

I would support this rule. A&M had some issues that didn't quite make it to the National spotlight due them coming out at the same time as the Ohio State issues, but a kid that wanted to transfer from A&M to Arizona because Jimbo was too tough applied to have his one year sitting out waved by alleging misconduct by Jimbo and his staff. Its important to note Sumlin is now the head coach at Arizona, so the kid clearly committed to Sumlin and not A&M. It all fizzled out but it was a big deal down here in Aggieland for a day and a half or so, until the kid got dismissed from Arizonas team for some racist remarks that came out.

As a Tech fan, I was glad to see them wipe the floor with Florida. Being a grumpy old man, I'm about done with watching any more football. Even when Florida was trailing 17 to 3, the defensive players would still jump up and act like they did something fantastic when a tech receiver would miss a pass. Waaaay too much holding not being called, and the Tech defensive player pretending to be injured (terrible acting) to slow down the Florida drive was pathetic.

Michigan team looked woefully unprepared (or worse, unskilled). I haven't given up on him yet, but I hope the school has Harbaugh on double secret probation this season.

It wasn't ever a big deal. Behind the scenes was a lot different that what was out in the media. The kid had issues and we can leave it at that.

I was very disappointed that the game against ND wasn’t closer!
I think if Michigan has another season like last year, Harbaugh will be looking for a new job!
