They still played the same number of games on the same dates. To say UCF is less beat up because of the conference in which they play is a shaky argument IMO. Being tackled and being hit is being tackled and being hit regardless of the conference in D-1.

Playing Bama and UGA back to back (not to mention playing UGA twice in the same season, having faced them two weeks before the Iron Bowl) is a gauntlet literally no other team has had to do. The physicality of those two teams on both sides of the ball is unmatched. So, yeah... on paper it’s the same, but it really isn’t the same.

      • ....both teams had a MONTH before that game. So...the sec players are soft if they can't get ready for a game with a month off? C'mon man....that argument is as deep as a mud puddle.

What about that time we spanked Arkansas in the sugar bowl?

Looking forward to watching Michigan and the Gators in the Peach Bowl. Any predictions? I honestly don't know anything about the Gators other than their record and ranking. I know Michigan plays pretty good when they don't have to play OSU .

Missing my point, which is that somehow Auburn was 'beat up' because of the conference they play in therefore weren't fresh after a month off from games when they lost to UCF. And yes, we beat Arkansas and alabama. How soon you southerners forget.

                  • 53 "Soft" players taken from the SEC in last year's NFL draft. When it comes to having NFL talent the B1G = weak sauce. Not even 2nd among all conferences.

                    • For the seventh time in the last eight years, the SEC once again led the nation in First Round NFL Draft selections. The SEC produced 10 opening-round draft picks, followed by the ACC (6), Big Ten (4), Pac-12 (4), MWC (3), Independents (2), AAC (1), Big 12 (1), C-USA, (1).
                    • The SEC had 10 First Round picks in 2018. During the last 12 NFL Drafts, the SEC has a nation-leading 111 players taken in the opening round, an average of over nine per season.
                    • Only six times in NFL Draft history has a single conference produced 10 or more First Round selections - the SEC accounts for five (5) of those occasions, which have all occurred since 2011.
                    • Since 2010, the SEC has nearly double (87) the total amount of First Round selections than the next closest conference (ACC - 44).
                    • Five different SEC teams had a player taken in the First Round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
                    • The SEC now has 31 Top-10 picks since 2009 and 37 since 2007.
                    • At least one Florida player has been selected in every NFL draft since 1952, the longest streak in SEC history. The Gators have had nine First Round picks in the last six NFL Drafts. Florida has had a first round pick in 11 of the last 12 years.
                    • Since 2009, Top 10 NFL picks by league: SEC (31); Big 12 (19); ACC (16); Pac-12 (17); B1G (7), MAC (3); Notre Dame (3), AAC (1), Mountain West (1), BYU (1).
                    • Alabama has a First Round selection in each of the past 10 NFL Drafts, the longest streak in SEC History and 2nd-longest in college football history.
                    • Alabama has the most First Round picks nationally since 2007 with 26.
                    • Georgia had a school-record three players chosen in the First Round.
                    • Alabama and Georgia, the two teams who played for the national championship last season, accounted for seven of the 32 picks of the opening round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Those seven selections are more than any other conference.
                    • This is the second consecutive year the SEC has seen 25 or more players selected through the first three rounds of the NFL Draft.
                    • The SEC has averaged over 50 selections per draft since 2006.
                    • All but one SEC program saw at least one player taken in the 2018 NFL Draft, with nine of those schools seeing three or more selections. Half the league, seven SEC schools, saw four or more players selected.
                    • Alabama led the SEC with a school-record 12 draft selections.

Total 2018 NFL Draft Picks (Selections Per School in Parenthesis)

                    SEC: 53 (3.79)
                    ACC: 45 (3.21)
                    Big Ten: 33 (2.36)
                    Pac-12: 30 (2.50)
                    Big 12: 20 (2.00)
                    AAC: 18 (1.50)

Unbunch your panties big guy. The comment was made that UCF beat Auburn because Auburn was beat up from playing in the SEC....even though the game was a month removed from the bowl game. I guess I should include this.....

                            Got it. No problem.

It is possible that Auburn didn't give UCF their best game because they didn't care...didn't want to be there. They were one game away from the CFP. But that is just speculation.

Do take note in the bottom of my post the number of players drafted by the NFL from the AAC and then try to tell me with a straight face that UCF's run through their conference is equal to a power 5 schedule. Yes, it's hard to go undefeated. And, It's less hard to go undefeated when you're not staring at NFL linemen and linebackers every week. Or even at all. In the 25 games, how many did UCF play against a team that averages zero draft picks?

Won't matter, hopefully LSU will curb stomp UCF, and then we can all listen to how much it doesn't count because they didn't have their starting QB. Which is another point...Championship teams have depth. Right? Remember that OSU team that won the CFP with their 3rd string QB? Can't have it both ways.

This is the excuse Alabama trotted out when they got beat by Knight and the Sooners in the Sugar Bowl. I'm still not buying it. If you can't get up for a NY6 (or BCS) bowl, sorry, you suck.
