Tigers D was impressive against a previously dominant line, punishing and quick rusher, and nearly perfect Tua.

Two for certains; 1) Bama is better than the Big12. 2) Clemson is better than everyone.
If ya ain't first, your last
There's no hate. I like Bama. I also like Clemson and specifically Dabo and Venables. QB1 needs a haircut badly! He has the Jeff Spicoli look down perfectly. Also like that CantRepeat is an apropos screen name today for Bama.

I saw some great quarterback play from that freshman last night. He made plays that typically only veterans make. He depended on his play makers to make plays. I also saw some spectacular catches by another incredible freshman from Clemson. I am sure Bama fans were like "cmon really?!?!?!" on some of those catches.
Clemson did what Georgia failed to do, keep putting on the gas. Jack Fromm was lighting up Bama's secondary, but they played scared in the second half. Bama looked mentally beat down and their weaknesses were exposed. It happens when the clock is ticking and you have so much ground to make up. Bama just couldn't finish in the Red zone. I mean you looked at the stats at the half and thought "why isn't this game even?" It's because Bama couldn't finish. I know the pain of this. tOSU couldn't finish against a 6-6 team and it cost us a playoff spot and a lack luster semi-final CFP.

Hats off to Dabo and Clemson. It was beat down, they out executed in nearly all phases of the game and took advantage of Bama's weaknesses. They had a great game plan. Plus they played loose and didn't panic when Bama had some success on both sides of the ball. Bama was totally ineffective in the red zone. Something like 9 points on 6 trips.
Well another season done. Who's ready to go to the lake?

I was shocked at Clemson’s ability to shut down 4th and short. Great game!

Surprising for a team that historically had been able to come back from big deficits twice (Georgia x2) in the last year.2012 MasterCraft X15 5.7L

What kills me is all the turds saying, “good game Dabo, we’ll take you with open arms when Saban retires.” GTFO. I mean, it may happen, but that’s not saying good game. That’s just being conceited by implying that Bama is a step up from Clemson. Right now, it clearly isn’t. Whatever he’s doing over there is working. He just out-coached the greatest college football coach of all time. And his team just finished up possibly one of the greatest seasons ever in college football. And it looks poised to do it again next year. It would be a bad move for him to leave. Bama could certainly offer him more money, but he built the Clemson program pretty much from the ground up, he’s got a well running machine, and a clear path to the playoffs each year in the ACC.

2 - This morning, some talking heads on ESPN said "Saban didn't look the same" and another talking head said "he had nothing to yell at". Clemson was making some incredible plays and their game plan was top notch. In other words, there was nothing or no one to yell at.
So what is your vote? Is he:
A - returning to Bama?
B - going to the NFL?
C - retiring?

My house is about 6 miles from Pelham, where Dabo grew up, and his college roommate goes to my church. But he seems, from what I've heard through the grapevine, to be all in at Clemson.
Dabo may very well turn out to be one of these guys:
- When you hear the name Pat Dye - you think Auburn, where he coached, not Georgia where he played.
- Consequently - When you hear Vince Dooley - you think Georgia, where he coached, not Auburn where he played.
- Darrell K Royal - coached at Texas, has the field named after him; played at Oklahoma
- Bo Schembelcher - A Michigan Man/Coach, played at Miami of Ohio(from Ohio, left Miami of Ohio for Michigan; coached at tOSU)
- Dabo - Legendary coach at Clemson *Played at Alabama ?
The flip side of that coin is when Bear Bryant left Texas A&M for Alabama, when asked why he simply replied, "Mama called." [a portion of the fan base clings to this]
It was a different time back then than it is now, and Dabo probably has about as much job security and good will built up as he'll ever have. Ask Ray Perkins what it's like to follow a legend. Dabo seems to have a good work/life balance...I can't imagine him stepping into the fire in Tuscaloosa.
The Tide might be better off to hire some young up and coming guy who's a little too naive to know exactly what they'd be signing up for.
