During the 3.5 steps he literally took the ball from shoulder height to above his head and then down to his waist before it was knocked out. You should probably choose a different hill to die on if you have to resort to the “you never played” argument while simultaneously stating things that are blatantly untrue.

Even Terry agrees, terrible change. And we lost points.

Not only did it negate a great play call on third down, but it removed what i considered to be our biggest x factor on defense. Shaun wade is an excellent football player all over the field.

Was it targeting? Yes. Should that particular play have been? No. Wade is shorter and targeted the mid section. Lawrence dropped down to protect himself, aka not defenseless. Then it became targeting. It was a great hit that cost Ohio state majority.

Then the refs to call the pick six back after replay was just wrong. Indisputable?

They say for players to make plays, and big ones were taken away.

Ohio state red zone offense didn't help either. What the heck was up with all the slipping for Ohio state? Ididn't see Clemson slipping on the field.
So, one of the guys in the group with which I was watching the game said, if it was targeting and lawrence laid on the pitch as long as he did.....why wasn't he tested for a concussion? Seemed pretty convenient that a player that clearly was dazed by a hit wasn't taken for evaluation. So much hypocrisy in such a short amount of time was disgusting to see.

And that was a catch followed by a fumble, period. 3 feet down, trying to advance forward, period. That call was ka-ka.

              • I think the reason I am just so bent out of shape about it all is because I truly believe you cannot put out there "well you should have won in spite of the call. Shake it off and move on" You are talking about 6 points in a game that 6 points determined the outcome. This was the 2nd time the bucks had to rally and overcome a questionable call, and this one was even worse. I believe Ohio State played well enough to win the game and they didn't. When it comes to "overcoming questionable calls" there was no guarantee in the Saints game on the egregious non-PI call. However, that call didn't guarantee points. They had a great chance of points, but not guaranteed. This took 6 points off the board and allowed clemson to punt.

Well said, this is my issue as well. Regardless of everything we could have done better, we lost points on a call that should not have been reversed.

                  • I agree it was a bad call...I also think its karma for the card Justin Fields played leaving UGA so he didn't have to sit out a year.

                    • I don't care for either team but what gets me about that whole game is that type of officiating to me is what is driving me away from both college and pro sports. I wanted to watch a good game but what i saw instead was some officials who thought they should determine the outcome. if that's the case why watch at all just have the officials fill out brackets and let that be the playoff....

I’m sorry, but how could you pretend to know anything about football and not think this is targeting? Then #2 came in for a choke hold?

Choke Hold? I thought he was going to break Lawrence's neck the way he twisted his helmet.

According to the announcers Lawrence was taken into the tent and tested for concussion systems - Which he passed. You must have gone to the bathroom and missed it.

It was actually two huge calls that determined the outcome of the game.

And none of us recall seeing lawrence going into the tent to be checked for concussion.

Hey, it's fine. It was a good game. The Bucks came back twice from terrible huge bad calls. I hope Clemson wins by 60 and I hope they don't hurt our first round pick in the process. Who Dey!
