I guess we all have differing views of what constitutes a catch. And yeah, there are plenty of still images that make it look like he caught it. But until he “secures control of a live ball in flight before it touches the ground, and maintains control of the ball long enough to enable him to perform an act common to the game, ie long enough to pitch it or hand it off, or ward off an opponent, etc” (NCAA words there, not mine), then it isn’t a catch. In real time, in my opinion, that was not a complete catch, at least not according to NCAA rules. I get that it looks different in slow motion with scarlet goggles.
Guarantee if that SAME scenario happened in the end zone, no OSU fan would complain that it was ruled a broken up pass.
Not going to beat this dead horse anymore. I realize I’m not going to change anyone’s mind on this. Perhaps the NCAA needs to change its rules on what is and isn’t a catch, like the NFL did recently...

How about them LSU Tigers?
At what point do they stop taking OU in the playoffs as they are 0-4 in Semifinal games and most games weren't even close.
One play doesn't determine the outcome of a game. Everyone forgets that the "great" OSU defense allowed Clemson to score the go ahead TD in 4 plays. They were up 13-0 and let the lead slip. Toward the end of the game, Justin Fields shows his inexperience in big games by throwing a bad INT to end the game.
I was really hoping LSU played OSU, but Clemson was the better team that night.
Should be a good match up between the tigers on Jan 13...

The end of game Fields interception was due to the Olave going off route and falling down.

I guess the BIG10 supervisor of officials “obviously never played football.” Lol
And the still images weren’t proving he caught it, they were refuting the claim that “If you watched his hands, they never moved”2020 Table Rock Mastercraft Reunion Poker Run Champion

For the record I’ll agree that the interception-fumble-scoop&score was incorrectly reversed. But the targeting call was the textbook definition of targeting and was fairly enforced. $0.022020 Table Rock Mastercraft Reunion Poker Run Champion

Do you think the Clemson receiver would still have control of the ball if Ohio State didn't rip it out? Obviously it's speculation, but I do not doubt at all he would have.
I don't think anyone is going to change their mind at this point. Yes Ohio State left points on the field with their redzone play, heck the ultra reliable KJ Hill had a football smack him in the facemask in the end zone. However, they also got points taken away IMO. Could Clemson have still gone on to win the game if the call wasn't reversed? Absolutely, but it sure would have been a whole lot more difficult.
