I really wish LSU played OSU cause it would have been over in the first quarter instead of the 2nd Quarter like the Clemson game.

Ohio State held Clemson to zero points until about 4 mins to go in the 2nd quarter. Then Shaun Wade got ejected....

Clemson scored 17 points by 10 mins to go in the 2nd. At this point in the game, I was wondering if Clemson was going to take it away. LSU responded huge! Great ever? Again quite a bit of debate.

They lost at home to unranked Va Tech that year. Case dismissed.

A team can't evolve, get better, and become the greatest team ever? Please note that I am not claiming the 2014 team was the best college team ever. I just wanted to have a bit of fun with it.

Keep clinging on to that one bowl game. How many bowl games did the Little10 win? 4. And then count how many the southern ego conf got. 8. LSU has as good of a case for “best college football team ever” as anyone else based purely on results. And the QB play is easily the tiebreaker. The kind of season Burrow had is transcendent. Or insert whatever superlative you want in there. They went undefeated in the best conference in the nation, then removed any remaining doubt in the playoffs. Absolute domination.

Not clinging to it, just wanted to point out it got blatantly/purposefully overlooked.

The fact you acknowledge the term, southern ego conference makes me smile.

I’m saying LSU beats Ohio State even easier than it did with Clemson.

Tell me how the LSU isn’t one the all time greats?

Only the second 15-0 national champ and when Clemson did it last year they player on two top 10 teams all year.

Not speaking for all Buckeye fans, but the reason we still mention it, and the reason I rementioned Minnesota running all over 'the best d-line in the country', is because of the sec bias on here. It's like there isn't any other conference to consider when you read this thread. .....cr's constant yammering about bama has a little to do with it as well.

I will stand by my previous comment that Auburn D line is one of the best. The held the LSU team to the lowest point total all season.

The SEC is the best plain and simple. They have the stats to back it up.

Greatest this year? Absolutely! Greatest all time? I wouldn't quite go there. See USC with Reggie Bush as just 1 example.

LSU beat SEVEN teams ranked in the top 10 this year and 5 out of the top 8 in the final AP rankings.

They beat #2 Clemson, #4 UGA, #6 Florida #7 Oklahoma, #8 Bama...

USC didn't play these teams as LSU is the only team that did this in College Football history
