      And actually, when Michigan lost the opener as defending champs it was to ND who was ranked #22. I'm not sure when the last time a champ lost and opener to an unranked team.

        It was initially cancelled due to money. Of course that will never be reported. Yeah player safety was a concern, but I bet the powers looked at the potential of future lawsuits and figured playing this season wasn't worth it. It's been "the thing to do" to be overly cautious this year.

        So what happened? Players, parents or players (which is the big one IMO), coaches, said they wanted to play. Lawsuits even happened. Initially it looks like a big blunder from the big ten, but if down the road players start developing medical issues because of covid exposure the big ten can say "well you wanted to play, your parents were angry you couldn't play, and you even sued us..." granted the lawsuit was just nebraska, but that plays a big factor into it.

        The Big ten made the players and their families scream if they wanted to play. The media helped to say how stupid they were, but in the end now the big ten conference has much more insurance in the event issues develop down the road.

                  We just weren't ready for the Pirate's Air Raid. It didn't help that our top 2 corners were out but if I didn't have a dog in the fight it would have been a fun game to watch.

                  Best game of the weekend had to be the chaos that was Texas vs. Texas Tech
