$400,000 base, $8.6 million in supplemental compensation, and $500,000 every July 1st he's still coach.

Basically $9.5 million a year at the lowest, without the built in raises over time and incentives for winning the division/conference/national titles.

And, this is a big and, he has to produce now! At ND he could make a champ game every 5 years, never win one, and they kept paying him. Is he really that good?
