I've been traveling Slinky. It was a boring game if you ask me. Looks like TCU is in our sights. It will be a fun night of football on New Years Eve but I think Georgia is too good for the rest of us.

Hey! Army won a thriller over Navy! I feel bad for Coach Ken at Navy he did a super job and the last few years did him in. Navy AD better make a great hire, not sure a lot of Coaches can thrive at a Service Academy in todays NIL and Transfer portal world.

I'm not very nervous about the game against UGA because it feels like we're playing with house money. My anxiety is going to sky rocket if we somehow pull off a win though...

I'd love to see an OSU vs U of M rematch in the championship game, but that is a long shot.

I honestly thought the committee would do this. However, they likely had to balance two narratives, and both weren't great or justified. If they put OSU at 3 because TCU lost, OSU would have "jumped" two spots by not playing. It technically isn't their fault with the way the system is setup. The committee has shown that they hate losses greatly for the most part. TCU: congrats, you have done something no one else in the era of the CFP has even done, you maintained your spot even in a loss. They have also shown that 2 losses eliminate you from the playoff picture. Give TCU Georgia's, tOSU, Michigan, Alabama, etc schedule. Do they have only one loss? I don't think so. However, you don't fault a team for its schedule right? But you sort of have to a little bit. Originally TCU's schedule looked very nice, but now it actualyl doesn't look all that great with Oklahoma and OKST just tanking.

However, here is the other narrative. Isn't team 1 technically supposed to get a slightly easier game than team 2 or 3? Who do you think Georgia would truly rather play and have the easiest shot at a repeat. TCU or OSU? Sure, go ahead with the stats how tOSU got manhandled in THE GAME and that tOSU is easier that TCU. I would say they got manhandled in the 3rd quarter and made a huge mental collapse. They were owning TTUN pretty much the entire first half. i didn't feel the score was indicative of that. ANYWAYS..... I thought the SECommitee would put OSU at 3 to help out Georgia for a minute. But again, "jumping" two spots after a loss like that isn't probably a good look. Also putting Bama in over TCU or OSU isn't either. This year is a bit odd where the traditional uber powers all look to have quite a few soft spots in the armor. However, I would still put my money on Bama over TCU if they played. We are supposed to get the 4 best or the 4 most deserving?

The real question is what on earth is going to happen to this thread when it expands to 12 teams? I mean we are going to have to make arguments about how blank team should have really been 12th and not 13th. Or complain about seeding. That'll be interesting.

Jharmon203 - really like your take .... you can't please everyone to me the committee did a nice job ranking their top 4 ... I cannot believe USC and TCU both lost to give the Buckeyes hope.

In my eyes, my top 4 best teams in College Football for this season are - Georgia, UM, OSU, Bama - but I understand how the CFP committee ended up where they ended up.

Georgia and UM are the 2 "hottest" teams right now too ....

After USC lost, it seemed pretty clear who the 4 teams would be just based on losses. The order was the only question. I was betting that no matter how the conference championship games played out, the committee was going to make OSU win their way to another crack at UM after losing THE GAME in the fashion they did. Personally, I'm hoping for the rematch. I think the 12 team playoff is really gonna take some shine off THE GAME. I just can't see how it won't. To see UM and OSU slug it out for all the marbles before that happens would be amazing!

I don't get upset with a two loss season. I just wish we could have done more with Young and Anderson before they leave for the NFL. To me, that's the big disappointment. They just didn't have the weapons around them.
