Sad to say, but that's cheap for ethanol free, on the water.
Being on the water is best, but when I'm not on the water I'm on TT.

For me that would be cheap for any kind of gas, from any pump within hundreds of miles from me...

Ya, saw one station in Anchorage that was $3.73. Most "in town" gas stations are $3.80-3.90 for 87 right now. Diesel at $4 +\- once you get out of ANC a ways it's all over $4. And $5.80 for 87 up on the N Slope........ Where all the fuel comes from! (Actually the Corps or Fish n Game shut down the small refineries up on the Slope a while back. Now every ounce of fuel gets trucked almost 1000 mi BACK to the Slope from Anchorage! Real smart huh?
It's like a wagon train of double tanker trailers both N and S on the Parks Hwy 24 hr a day.
Driving back from Denali a cpl weeks ago I counted over 200,000 gal of fuel headed north by truck in the 3 hrs I was on the hwy.

Well, there are major refineries not too far from here, so it can't be shipping costs...

It ticks me off that I get raked over the coals (on more things than gas) because I live where I live. At some point I need to get out of dodge...

Yes, but what is the water level in your lakes/rivers?

Even though we are in a pretty bad drought, I still have the Delta - that is until Gov (Idiot) Brown gets his was and drains the xhit out of it.

GoneBoatN. ..I pay 419 in the south bay. California 54 cents per gallon tax plus whatever the locals put on it. But the good news is we have great roads...Not!! Save your boat gas receipts. You can get a deduction on your taxes.

Roads suck - so much you can't tell if there is something wrong with your car because no smooth highway to run on...

No deduction in CA because using your boat on inland water the taxes go to "improving/maintaining" or some nonsense of the local waterways and lakes. Sure, if you are a farmer you get the deduction but not us boaters.
