I had my bolt action not the AR. I thought I had a clean shot, maybe my bullet hit a branch. The bastages were not at the feeder. Trust me, I felt awful for missing such a gift...

SJ if they are close enough a shotgun (12ga-3 1/2"-#2 buckshot) would be what I would be taking. Or I would at least have one with me just incase they showed up close enough. You can kill 2-3 with one shot. If the conditions are right.

It would all depend on where I was sitting. In my bow blind, you are 100% correct - shotgun with some .00. Where I was Sunday, it was rifle only.

Trust me when I tell you - revenge will be mine. When I patterned the activity, they came in DAILY with the exception of 1 rainy day - each time at approximately 16:00. I'll be sitting waiting Sat/Sun at 14:00 for their arrival.
