I wrapped up our MLD season this past weekend by shooting a unicorn ... one horned 4.5 year old that had dropped the one side, thought it was the old lone doe that roams that portion of the property.

I have zero experience for hunting turkey to the point that outside of you guys on here, I don't know anyone that has ever hunted them.

Dont look now but here comes hunting season

Here a pic of a friends moose he bagged not too far from where I got mine this year.

I'll see if I can find a different pic of it too. It's a good looking moose but surprisingly not as big of rack as you'd expect. There was four or five 60+ and a few 50+ inch moose shot around the area this year.

Well there is an easy way and a hard way. I have done both. Sit over a feeder or near one.

Or walk and call. I shot my first with a bow out of a blind and I have shot others stalking both of them enjoyed.

My turkey hunting friends are insane about it. Absolutely can't keep their **** together when it's turkey season.

yep, agree with some going completely insane ... I don't care for the taste or texture of a wild turkey, but I do really enjoy sitting out in nature, watching them carry on and talking to each other.

Take the breast soak in butter milk and then batter and chicken fry. My kids love it.

Did a little shed hunting today!!

looks like you have some nice prospects returning next season. My son will likely do some shed hunting this weekend on our east TX place. He and his wife are going tent camping out there (yeah, there is a travel trailer, but she likes tenting) to do some much needed tree and road clearing from the ice storm. I'm going out Sunday evening or early Monday morning to do some backhoe work in putting in a new septic system for our camp set up.

Nice bird! I'm hoping to get out in the next couple weeks and take my nephew.
