Don't even have trail cameras out yet or stands up. With a 1.5 year old at home and number 2 due Dec 18th, my standards of a big one have been reduced this year. Might decide to skip shotgun season (first weekend of Dec) this year and try late muzzleloader. Between the due date and having slugs hitting the ground by me on public land last year, this might be the year I try late season muzzleloader.

Went to lease in KY last weekend to check cameras, clear a few trails of downed trees, fill feeders and mow food plots. Will be October before we get into stands. Plenty of good bucks on cam as well. Couldn't come soon enough.

my son and I are heading out to our lease in eastern central TX this weekend. This is a new lease to me but my son has been on it for 5-6 years (his wife's family land). Taking travel trailer, 2 stands, feeders, etc. We already have 2 feeders up with game cameras that we will check while out there. The lease manager went out last weekend to do some tractor work and checked his cameras. 1 week's worth had about 1800 pictures but 98% were of feral hogs. I'll post pictures next week if there are any worth while from our 3 cameras.

I did a run out to another place I hunt in West TX (5.5 hour drive one way) a couple of weeks ago to check/fill feeders. 2 of the feeders were on the ground and the entire feed pen was rooted up about a foot plus deep (in hard packed caliche) from hogs. We have never seen hogs out there the previous 5 years that I have been on the place, but they must have moved in since June when I was last out there.

I love these threads so I'm going to share. I join a new lease five minutes from my river house in south Mississippi. Here are a few pictures off my trail cameras with a ton of hogs and some deer. Hogs are a huge nuisance and tear up everything.

Stands are up , cameras are out , got drawn for South Dakota duck for third year in a row. Dogs are ready . Bring it on . Nothing better than sitting in a stand and then running the course and then back to the stand
