i agree with you. of course porsches are going to appear more "reliable" because they're being used mostly as novelty cars--weekend and summer driving, always garaged or covered, and with the owners being much more meticulous with maintenance. put a porsche side-by-side with a corolla and drive it in snow, salt, rain, leave it out in the sun, and get oil changes "whenever you get around to it" and your acclaimed reliability will go way down.

I love German cars. I’m just saying there is a reason they sell 20% back side of clean trade at the auto auctions when they have over 100k miles on them. I can show you small block Chevys with over 300k miles all day long. I’ve never seen a Porsche with 200k miles. Not saying they don’t/can’t get there, you just don't see them. The reliability scale is set on the used car market. All that said, the OP is about “fast” cars. Porsche is up there...no doubt.

          Fast cars

How did this post go from does anyone have a fast car to a debate on reliability of foreign cars?

Sadly, I contributed to the downward spiral. I’ll post a pic to make up for it.

Roadster, I'm just surprised that you haven't stayed true your core values.

Not anymore, got rid of both last year. 87 944T, street car, orig paint, quite a few mods but very discreet. Dedicated 944T track car, 2250# with 1/2 tank of gas, 362/358 to rear wheels. The guy I sold it to turning into wide body 3.0L for historic racing.

I don't like your attitude Roadster. Sorry, your Z is not fast, and you should have bought a fast American car for your wife. Stay true to your values. Support American.
