From the fog lights it looks mid 80s. Here is Hagerty's for an 86 930 (turbo) and an 86 Carrera (non-turbo) which is what I Have.

Air cooled 911s are bonkers in price. A clean, low mile 930 turbo is worth well into the 100k range. About 9 years ago my dad had an 89 964 Targa that we sold for 18k. That same car now is worth an easy 40-50k.

Not my car, but my buddy that used to work with me quit his engineering job a few years ago to be a full time slum lord. I saw him last night, and he pulled up in a Lamborghini Gallardo. I guess there is a lot of money in trailer parks and crappy apartment buildings.

            Stunning car!

This one belongs to a very close friend. Pat Williams Racing in Memphis did a refresh on the motor several years ago after he put new German leather and new carpet inside. Hollywood Speedometer did the instrument cluster. Fuchs are in storage, as is original front bumper: presently RUF front bumper with oil cooler and Lindsey Racing Wheels. He recently turned down $142k, drives it about 5am to 6am and then parks it, trailers it to shows. It pulls like a Scalded A$$ ape!

              Haha, nice!

My previous comment was a little sarcastic. These cars are fast for sure, but here's the reality. 10 years ago when the zr1 was released,* 640hp was OMG fast. Today, almost every manufacturer out there has a 600hp offering. Even Jeep has a 700hp Grand Cherokee. :-)

With that said, there's not much I'd trade my zr1 for.

Yes, for sure. When my Z06 was released there was nothing out there with over 500hp naturally asperated. Now they are all over, but the Corvettes set the bar. And still do on price to power. There are supercars with the speed, power, and handling of Corvettes, but they start at double the cost. You can spend several hundred thousand more on your car and gain no noticeable performance increase. It just status. That said, if I had the money to blow, I'd have a nice status car too. LOL.
There may be better ways to relax than being on a boat...I just haven't found one yet!

Looks like a nice track, never heard of it before but don't venture much outside of Texas anymore. HMU if you ever make it out to COTA for a track day as we are always out there. I would suggest a spring or fall/winter trip as summer can be brutal on the car.

I started in 06 or 07 I think.. raced IMCA dirt stock car before that. Sold the CMC car about two years ago, but have been racing in the World Racing League in a friends car this year. We raced COTA and Road America this year.

Pretty fast, best all-around fast car I've ever owned... but will most likely never see a track.

I love those... in fact it’s the only new BMW I like at the moment.
