  • travel help, florida keys

    Hi all,

The 2 of us are planning a 5 day trip to the florida keys (no kids, yahoo!) If you have any suggestions on where to stay that might have a nice beach, pool, etc. please let me know. It doesn't need to be Key West, we like quiet better than the noisy area of Duvall Street anyway!

I've stayed at Hawk's Cay and also Cheeca…..both really nice but thought I would try a different place this time.

    Suggestions welcome! Thanks.
    I was njskier on here.

No not taking the MC. Hawk Cay is nice, just thought I'd try a different place this time.

I read some recent reviews on Hawks Cay and they say the food is very limited and sucks.

If key west is an option, check out "The Reach Resort". Its fantastic! Has its own beach, gazeebo, restaurant and is super laid back and away from the Duval St madness.

Our favorite spot in Marathon is the banana bay resort - its not as "pretty" as other options, but has a great marina, laid back vibe, and the rooms are pretty nice. You have to leave the hotel for all of your meals and they do not have a beach. That's our spot when taking the boat.

Nothing better than staying on a boat, at a marina in the keys. Did that one year for Spring Break while in College. We had a blast.

Here is a nice Marriott in Key Largo that we stayed at. Great view of the bay and great restaurant on site. Cool pool and beach - you can wade out into waist deep water in the bay. Lots of boats anchor there on the weekends.

Reserve your stay at our Key Largo, FL, resort and enjoy beach access, outdoor activities, restaurants and a spa. Book your stay at Playa Largo Resort and Spa, Autograph Collection today.
