Jim - quick question for you. Do you know if epoxy will take gel coat? I'm doing a repair on the bottom of my hull and am thinking of using epoxy to fill and then coating with gel. Epoxy I want to use is marine grade and it's white. Thanks man.

    Hey Jim
The ladder is working out great!!! It is rock solid!
Thank you again for the help. Did I read you are looking for a new SS? a ski buddy of mine were talking yesterday how cool it would be to restore a classic SS like you did. How is your project going? would love to see pics if you have them.

Hi, just reaching out to introduce myself and maybe pick your brain. My name Bob Kraft. I've had an 84 SnS since about 1986! Live and boat on the Fox River/Chain of lakes in IL. Not sure if it's the way we are running with the flyhigh or more weight in the boat BUT I've notice quite a bit of water coming in the driver's side between the TOP and side gunnel. Have you experienced this? Is it worth tearing it apart to fix? Or just try to avoid it. Thanks in advance. Bob

I saw you were on and you beat me to leaving a message. Haven't even had the boat in the water yet this year. Just started her up the other day - needs a new ignition switch and the drain plugs in the exhaust elbows are corroded and need to be drilled and retapped. May have her on the water this weekend. Otherwise everything is good. Way too busy. Vacation coming in August in Norhtern WI.

    Hey Jim,

How's it going? Haven't talked to you in awhile. How you doing? Me and the wife are doing good. We're both finally working. We're paying the bills, but not much else. Nothing extra to dump in the boat yet. I was wondering if you could help me out, I'm doing a web developement project for school and I'm in need of boat restoration pictures and content and was wondering if I could get your permission to use the info you posted here of your refurb? You would get credit of course. As of right now I have no plans for the site to go live, but if it turns out good I might. I'd appreciate it if you can if, not that's cool too. How's the family?

Hey Jim, didn't get ahold of John yet, left him a message on here, but he left a number to call him, just haven't had time to get to that yet, been working on some other things, about to put a new axle on my trailer, that seems more important right about now.
