    Hi thatsmrmastercraft!

I heard from MikeG that you are the go to for stars and stripes decals. My husband and I just bought a 1976 MC Stars and Stripes and we are repairing the fibreglass and doing a new gel coat. The previous owner painted over most of the original stars as well as the mastercraft and competition ski boat decal. I'm hoping that I can order the full decal for my husbands birthday this week.

    Can you help?

Any tips are also welcome. I see you have a '77. Looks great.

    Thanks so much!

    Brittany

Hello i have a 1990 mastercraft prostar 1990 that i salvaged off craigslist a while ago
i bought it a new small block and did a complete engine overhaul last year, used it all last year and took it out from winterization this past week. took it out friday and it ran great took it through the ski course and it had no problems. i then took it out sunday and the boat had a horrible jerk as we were moving the jolt got much worse and within 5 min of running the boat bogged out and died completely. then it would come back to life just to fall on its face again. I let off the gas and at lower rpms it still has a horrible miss but at least it doesnt throw us around and die. it seems the problem gets much worse the more gas i give it but it still has a bad miss even at idle. at this point it tries to start and hits here and there but doesnt even run anymore without starting fluid.
    - i checked the prestolite distributer if it came loose and it was still tight and in place
-i bypassed the fuel filter and gas tank dropping the fuel pump hose into a glass of gass and it still had the same problem (was hoping it was just a clog)
    - i got it a new ignition coil
-i rebult the carb with a new carb kit and even cleaned the ports and every single orifice i could find, making sure if i sprayed carb cleaner in one end it all blew freely out the other
sat fuel air mixture screws at 1.5 turns out and made sure .015 clearance between the accelerator pump
it still has the same problem
one of the things i noticed was that the front right barrel of the carb there was a lot of gas dripping from the booster venturi, even when the boat was off it still dripped out gas for almost half a minute.
I am still in college and i dont really have alot of time but i do have $500 saved for the boat that i was going to use for upholstery but i cant stand not having a running boat im starting to lose sleep over this and i just want the peace of having a running boat again...
part of me thinks that the boat is getting flooded but im not really sure anymore I have a holley 4160 carburator my cell is 615-879-1913
    Thank you
    Clayton

Hi. Do you still handle marine carbs? I'm needing a 4160.

I own the dreaded 4010 carburetor on a 92 MC 205 with a 351 HO. I made the mistake of rebuilding the carburetor and CANNOT get it adjusted to run. I understand through reading the you have some rebuilt carbs that you sell. What all will I need to go from the 4010 dual fuel line intake to a 4160? Isn't is a single fuel line intake? Also, is there anything else that I will need to upgrade while I do this change?
    Thanks, Craig

Hi. New to the group, but saw your name come up several times. I am looking at buying a '79 S&S. I doesn't have a windshield (or even the frame). Any idea where I could find one? Even just the frame so I could have the plexi made for it would be ok. Also if I buy said boat, what do you charge for the carb rebuild? Thanks in advance.
