I am a computer programmer so I went back to work a few days after my surgery. The knee scooter thing really made that much easier, I doubt I'd be working as much if I was on crutches.

But don't worry, I have a bunch of home projects that are half way done that I can't finish! I was about half done with building a new shed that is now on hold. Not to mention yard work and all the other things that come up. I'm really looking forward to being back on my feet.

I forgot to mention. My foot was really swollen too. I read about wearing a compression sock to help. I ordered a pair from Amazon and it made a huge difference in my swelling after only a day to two. It is a knee high sock that it really tight and squeezes your foot and calf. I wear it all the time now.

    Hi Andre,

I'm doing well. I haven't tried to put any weight on my injured leg yet. I start PT this Thursday and the Dr said no weight bearing until then.

It feels much better and I feel like I could walk on it but trying to stay with the plan. I started driving and have no problem working the gas with my bad foot and use my left foot for the brake.

I've heard all kind of ranges for being back to normal, from 4 months to 1 year. I guess everyone is different!

Good luck and be careful not to re-injure anything. Keep in touch.

I read an older post where you talked about DuPont Imron. I'm thinking of going this route too, by painting the upper 1/2 of my Prostar. I'm wondering how you maintain the border between the gel-coat and Imron. If the painted area needs to be roughed to 320 grit and the gel-coat needs to be sanded to 2000 grit then buffed, how does one get the edge of the gel-coat shining w/o ruining the paint? Any insight on your waxing/polishing regimen would be appreciated.

Hello André; I will be in Montreal 11/11, next Tuesday evening for meeting 11/12, Wednesday. I was there couple months ago and saw that Sherbrooke is close by. Any chance we can get together?
