  • I don't really know how anyone on the forum would know more about the details of these actuator's design than MasterCraft. I think at best you would get educated speculations from folks on the forum. Like dh009, my speculation would be the forces placed on the actuators during towing are simply forcing...

From what I've read, the Swell Wakesurf Creator Slim H3X Plus is the best choice for fitting the stepped hull. I've never tried one on my boat. I posted a while back if anyone had tried one on an X25 along with Gen 2. Didn't get any responses from anyone that had actually tried it. I'm skeptical that...

replied to 2010 X25 Center tab upgrade
I'm sure it's possible if you can find a source for the tab. But I doubt it would make much difference. From playing with my center tab on my 2014 X25, it doesn't seem to make that much difference in the wave.

Do you have the teak or fiberglass platform? Have you done any modifications...

replied to Youth drysuits? Anyone have a lead?
I'll add a little more detail about my comment above about the Camaro Blacktec. I have a pretty nice baggie drysuit. And it is great, but it's also a fair amount of work. Keeping drysuits completely dry requires a fair amount of care. You have to maintain the zipper and seals pretty well and even with...

  • Mastercraft didn't marinize the engine, so they aren't going to have a ton of expertise after 22 years. Is it an Indmar marinized engine? If so, they would be the ones to ask.

Like others on this thread, I've never heard of a Northstar engine in a boat, and I've been around boats all my...

After getting a Camaro Blacktec 2.0 wetsuit, I never wear my drysuit anymore....

  • dpb185 are you recommending these folks? Have used them before? Not sure about sending that kind of $ to a company in Indonesia and hoping an engine shows up....

That's an easy question to answer. I originally planned to build the platform for my X25 myself until I priced buying the wood. For me to buy equivalent quality teak that is used by Teak World, just the wood was significantly more than what they charged to build and ship me the custom platform....

IMO the hardest part to figure out in this case is the engine down on power because something is wrong or is it down on power from just wear and age. 1460 is a fair number of hours on this vintage engine and a lot depends on how well it's been cared for over its life.

    If something is wrong...

  • The output on the ECM that controls the fuel pump is what is known as an open collector output in electronic design terms. In layman's terms, think of that output like it's a switch to ground. So, for a relay, the way you use an open collector output is you wire one side of the relay coil to 12V and...

When I had Teak World custom build the platform for my X-25, I had to send them a cardboard template that was very precise. Especially the curvature to match the rear of the boat. It was even specific based on the amount I raised the platform with my modifications to the mounts. And then I custom contoured...

Those compression numbers seem a little on the low side.

What engine and transmission? How many hours?

Is it a 3 or 4 blade prop?

Have you tested with the platform removed? I did that on my X25 before making my custom teak platform. It was a very informative step and shows you how much improvement you can expect without much of an investment in time.

It was also very interesting to see how the Gen 2 tabs really work....
