After many hours of hard work the boat is looking and running great in the water.... -
The old 351 got replaced with an engine I rebuilt starting with a rust free truck block and heads. As this project has turned into something built to last for future years I installed a fresh trans so it should be trouble free.
A local premier propeller shop I work with ordered me an acme 541...Leave a comment:

Epoxy and matting took care of the shaft log and I machined some stainless exhaust flanges to take care of the hull leaks....Leave a comment:

Hi guys, It has been a while so I will post some updates. I got some more surprises from the boat after putting it in the water. The shaft log had a leak, the transom exhaust flanges leaked from warped up plastic, and the engine ran good but had some blow by and one cylinder with low compression. ...Leave a comment:
