It's because the particle size is so small. It literally sticks in your fingerprints. Ever work with carbon black ? Same thing but worse because of the color....

How do you like the new Fusion head unit ? We love ours. I hit pause on the remote when bringing the boat in and then when I start it back up, it reconnects itself to my wife's phone and starts the Spotify lake play list automatically. Much better than our old Kenwood.

Get your local alternator guy to build you one ? Otherwise you'll have to worry about pulley alignment. Balmer is really, really pricy....

This ^^^^^^. You're using torque as a method to gauge the tension of the bolts. Most torque values specify clean and lubricated threads (at least in industrial use they do). Therefore if your bolt threads aren't clean and lubricated, the torque value will translate into a lower bolt tension. Does...

Interesting you'd ask. I just got back from a week at the lake and we did some experimentation with different ropes, speeds, tied to the ski pylon vs tower, etc. Here is what we found:
1) For my boat, (2000 205V) about 16mph seemed to give the most jumpable wake
2) Definitely pull from...

In Georgia, trailers have their own tag so the bill of sale has to include the trailer and the price for the trailer + the boat. And the trailer can't be zero. Do make sure your boat and trailer are itemized on the bill of sale if you have to put a tag on your trailer. Not sure why this is so but...

Man, that's great. I live in mortal fear of this happening to me. Mainly because when something goes wrong with the boat, every head turns and looks at Dad. A lot of pressure.
Headed to the lake Saturday - Saturday so keeping our fingers crossed (like always).
Can I ask...

NOCO makes 10 and 20 amp dual battery chargers. I think when they say 10amp, it's 10amps total or 5 amps/battery:

ECM has to be purchased 2nd hand doesn't it? I might be looking at new motor (or boat) if my ECM goes - depending on price and availability.

That's my winter project this year. I don't necessarily need every part of hand but to at least, at a minimum, identify where to get them (PN, vendor) would be useful.
Off the top of my head:
1) Crank position sensors
2) Water temp (for ECM not gauges)
3) Oil pressure switch...

I just testing the ohms on mine in the garage, they ranged between 719-750 ohms. But I agree you can't really tell without looking at the output signal. Possibly measure voltage when waving a piece of metal in from of them ? I'm not an instrument (or electrical for that matter) guy so someone out...

How do you test them ? Mine are still in the package. The buy was more of a checking-the-box that I had a spare kind of thing. I'd hate to find they weren't any good when I need them....

LTR crank position sensors are hard to find. You can buy them on ebay for >$100 each. I found these in China:

I haven't tried them (mine are working) but I'm pretty sure these will work....

Water will come our of the tubing when moving if you unhook the tubes from the MDC (unless the tubes are plugged). When they are hooked to the MDC, the sensors in the MDC read the air pressure of the pocket of air between the water and the sensor. If there is a leak anywhere in the tubing or in the...
