Yes. One at helm. One in each of the 2 rear lockers....
-
Drove down (2.5 hrs each way) to my boat yesterday to take some measurements for my tabs and check on a few things. Was super pleased to find that I indeed have another PDM in the starboard side rear locker. Didn’t have a chance to pull the panels, but now my full expectation is that the Deutsch plugs...

Show me your dark gray or black Seadek/Gatorstep/Aqua Marine
I am about to upgrade my new-to-me 2013 XStar flooring. I’ve decided to replace the swim platform and and walkthrough pieces as well to take it all to a darker shade of gray or possibly black. My boat is mostly black, but the top deck is white. Seats are a straightforward white and black, so I feel...

Yes, my ‘13 has triple screens. Sounds like I wasted $175 for the NRX300 for my transom as it’s likely to never get used. Just like the Sony transom control on my last boat… But, I didn’t want to have a non-operative Clarion control back there and didn’t want to have to touch up holes in silver...

The main thing I was going for with the 755, or any upgrade, was to get Bluetooth connectivity. The 755 gives me the bonus of the four zones plus the integration with the Murphy screen, including auto sound leveling. I’m not sure that I need anything more than that that would make it worth spending...Last edited by Seneca_Ken; 03-12-2023, 04:50 PM.

2013 XStar Clarion to Fusion upgrade questions
I have purchased a 2013 XStar that has the original Clarion head unit. I’m having the dealer upgrade the firmware to the latest to get Gen 2 surf. That will also give me Fusion integration.
I am picking up a Fusion AV-755 head unit today. I read in another thread that Mastercraft provides...

Ok, thanks. I’ve just read some stuff that sounds like the Fusion upgrade mysteriously corrects some small gremlins when upgrading to Gen 2 software.
And yes, jpwhit is carrying the day for me here and earning a healthy array of adult beverages if we ever meet....

So I found a deal on a Fusion AV-755. As best I can tell, the only difference is the UD has an (useless) iPhone slot inside and the AV has an (equally useless) CD slot. If I’m right about that, I’ll go ahead and pick up the AV as a cost effective upgrade to give me full integration with what will...

Very helpful, thanks! Got my hands on the installation upgrade to GEN 2 for my boat. I’m now hoping that the Deutsch connectors are sitting there behind the back panels of the rear storage boxes just waiting for me to plug in new tabs! Should know something in the next day or two when the dealer opens...

So the 102 is the longer, 4-1/4” stroke. Seems lots of tabs out there use the 101 with only 2-1/4” stroke. Having trouble confirming I need the 102 for my XStar. But, seems like having the extra stroke available is a good thing if software can handle it....

I have my dealer check for a second PDM today. There was indeed a second one, and in the helm area as you suggested. So, getting even more hopeful!
Their shop was closed today, so couldn’t confirm either PDM screens or connectors for actuators. Maybe tomorrow!...1 Photo

Man, this is such awesome, helpful info! I really appreciate you taking the time to share all this.Now,. it's just killing me that my boat is currently 2.5 hrs away at the marina where I bought it. I'm having it fully detailed, graphics color changed, and a few other things. In the meantime, I'm gonna...

And another question while I’m at it, do I have to change out the center trim tab for the smaller one? I was given some information that included an installation guide and talked about discarding the one on there and putting on another one. In pictures (see red screen shot) I’ve seen it looks like...2 Photos

The above is very helpful. Thanks!
Here is a picture of a controller I spotted in mine when I was test driving it a few days ago. This one is in the port side storage area by the ballast bag. At the time I didn’t know to look around any further, and I don’t have the boat with me...3 Photos

Yes, the current system does control the ballast and the trim tab. The fact that it also shows the surf left surf right functions and that those buttons are also present on the side consul below the throttle was giving me hope that I might have the Gen 2 control system.
