prostar205 replied to 2005 X-30 Bimini quick release screw fell out of tower and can't get it back in.in TowersI believe the screws go into what is called a nut-cert. You have to buy a special tool to insert them. Here is some pictures of the correct tool. It's made by Marson. I purchased it back in 2005 to install my bimini on my 2005 tower on my X-30....

Call DB Electrical but unfortunately all they have is the stock original which is 51A. That won't work....

Inboard Garage comes through AGAIN!!! These guys are GREAT. I cannot sing their praises enough. They dug probably the last one of these on the planet up. It saved my son from going swimming for the one he dropped into the lake.

Tower Bushing needed (2005 - 2006)
Anyone know where to find this part? I've looked in my usual locations; MCPARTSDEPOT, Great Lakes Skipper, Waterskis.com (Mid-West MasterCraft), Inboard Garage, ebay, Amazon. The part number is 554390. Part is no longer made. Probably going to have it 3D printed.
If anyone has a place to...

I searched YouTube and found someone devised a way to get the codes using a Multimeter and set it to the Continuity setting along with the paperclip and listen for the beeps (short beep, pause, then more short beeps). Similar to the LED illuminating, then pause, then illuminating again....

Is the paperclip needed to read codes or do you just install that to go into "timing mode"? I don't want to blow my ECM up for $65. How do you tell which side of the leg of the LED is positive and which is negative? I know LEDs for usually polar so they only light when 12V is applied to the...

2002 X-30 with the 8.1L engine. For $65, it seems like a cheap (inexpensive) way to read codes....

Waterlogged - was this message meant for me? If yes, the answer to your question is No, I don't have a detailed service manual for my boat.

Do you happen to have a detailed service manual (in PDF) for your boat and the engine that you could email me? Thank you, Chuck - [email protected]

Anyone use the Code Flasher 94008 from Rinda?
Since my only MasterCraft dealer near me is not taking "new" service customers (if you didn't buy your boat from them), I am thinking of buying the device from Rinda.
CodeMate Code Flasher – 94008 – Rinda Technologies Inc.
I think it will do what I need it to do...

Anyone have experience with what would cause the Check Engine Light to flash every 4 seconds? No alarm, just flash. Call my local dealer but they are not taking any new service customers since I did not buy the boat from them. My are a relatively new dealer in our area. I bought my boat 18 years ago...

Balmar appears to be 20 minutes from me. It would be pretty easy to remove my alternator, take to them and match it up with something they have....

Any suggestions on a new alternator for a 2002 X-30 with the 8.1L engine? I've heard Balmar is a good place to start.

Reviving this thread. Anyone have any ideas? For some reason, my alternator is only putting out 12.7V at idle when the engine is up to temperature. That is measured at the back of the ALT and at each battery. I think it may be time for a new alternator. Thoughts???

Check Engine Light Flashing???
My boat (2002 X-30) has been running great after all the work done to it over the winter. Runs right at 160 degrees, oil pressure is great, voltage is good. This afternoon when I was coming back to my marina, the check engine light started coming on - once every 4 seconds. There was no audible alarm,...

I haven't seen the hydraulic system yet. I'll have to take a closer look at the R7 next time I'm at my marina. That boat is moored a few slips from mine and it's on a lift. Should be pretty easy to see....

There was a guy in my marina that had a Cobalt R5 with the swing down platform step/seat. He told me the hinges broke 3 times in 2 years. Cobalt covered it under warranty each time but it was a PIA to continually having to bring the boat to the dealer to get it fixed. Needless to say, his next Cobalt...

The pressure regulator on top of the fuel pump is just held in with a rubber grommet. It comes off fairly easily. I did not replace that when I rebuilt my Millennium fuel pump. Mine is holding pressure and the fuel works great. I do have a back up fuel also. I also rebuilt my 2005 Carter fuel pump just...
