In freshwater... should be fine....

Yup - beeps/flashes really all the same. Trouble is most people their voltmeter leads would damage the connector if you just jammed them in there, where as the LED legs are small enough to just slip in there.

Well you can always buy the tooljust works the same way. LED's are polar but the + leg is longer - that won't hurt it because backwards an LED is of course a Diode and as such only flows power one direction.

With out the paperclip it will blink codes, with the paperclip it does timing...

Ski ropes for me, cannot stand wake handles just too wide and soft.

Right but it does exactly the same job as a single LED that costs 10 cents.
verify that your boat does not have MEFI 5. It shouldn't in 2002 but if it does you'll destroy the computer.

What's your current boat? Good for MEFI 1-4 - do not use on MEFI 5.
Also there is nothing in that box other than a LED and a switch. So literally if you take and stick an LED in the port on the engine it does the same thing. And then the paper clip puts it in "timing mode"...

Trick is that Michigan is a great state to "fix" boats w/ problems. IE if you have a non-plated trailer, or a trailer with no title the best thing to do is sell it in Michigan where we can bill of sale, weigh the trailer, and get it plated and titled.
I'm in michigan and have...

The answer is you'll just have to try to ski it, but if you're running it in a course no it is not a decent slalom boat and will not track well in the course. Just have him drive your boat....

Props 101 is that you need a prop with the right shaft size and type ie 1" keyed vs 1.125" keyed vs splined.
Direction of turn LH or RH (LH for MC)
Overall size ie 13 or 14"
Pitch like say 13 pitch.
But then props 201 the CNC prop pictured...

I took this photo awhile back to show why the 3 vs 4 blade argument is kind of silly. Top prop is a "factory" style cast 3 blade 13/13 and it is sitting on top of an ACME CNC 3 blade 543 prop.
What you should be able to pick out is that the CNC prop has way more "surface"...
