That seems a bit more in-line with what I would have guessed on a XT22. I have never weighed one, but have weighed a X22 and XStar. I have my own truck scales at my mill and I just unhook and pull the tow rig off like you did on your second weigh. The X22 with full fuel, gear, and no lead, was 8040lbs....

As odd as it sounds, this is most likely due to the exhaust pulses fluttering the swim platform. I have definitely experienced this in several models, as well as other brands, and it is always most pronounced at about 750-1100rpms. Often times, this will occur more noticeably under certain conditions...
