  • Glad to hear she's up and running!
Just slow and easy does it on the dash removal, the plastic backing deteriorates with age, creating cracks. That combined with the loose rivnuts makes for a frustrating removal and reinstallation. Good news is it can be repaired and reinforced from the backside...

DC is an easy swap, but my wife just wears a very thick wool sock when she uses ours with a mens binding. Slower is better for sure. I’m 61 and love getting out on the Hovercraft when the morning slalom water is gone.

My daughters boyfriend with no skiing or wakeboard experience got up...

  • Not me.

I've owned two MCs w/ the 351 and have never once removed the timing chain cover or felt the need to. Current boat is approaching 900 hours, the last 400 being mostly slalom runs and she runs as good now as when I got her w/ 500hrs on her. Better actually thanks to TeamTalk! I'm...

Thought it would be interesting to bring this thread back after a 26 month layoff!
The height of the covid pandemic brought on a lot of challenges but due to some changes in my job, I was able to remain employeed, work from home, no biz travel and ski more! Back to reality in 2022 though. Lots...

replied to Sea water strainer or not....
My ‘92 came with one (basis Sherwood unit) added by an MC dealer, it was used on a lake w/ weeds. I don’t have weeds and replaced it with a shutoff valve and included a hosebib so I could either add antifreeze or test run off of a hose. It was located in the same approximate location as the aforementioned...

waterlogged mentioned the ignition switch. If you have not already, pull the dash panel and check the connections at the ignition switch, This has become an annual inspection for me, after finding mine extremely looses and causing intermittent 12v signal from the switch, As usual all of his other advice...

Not sure if my '92 had a lift, but it's gone now. Box opens against the rear seat and stays there for full access to engine and transmission....

    replied to 351W Riser Temp?
I confirmed good water flow out of exhaust at idle. Then I checked the riser temps with an IR gun: 120°. So hot to touch but not so hot (at 120°) as to cause a concern.

That was my post and Waterlogged’s advice is spot on. I’ve since replaced my distributor and I have two replacement modules that will work in your Prestolite distributor for sale in the classifieds.Make me an offer, still sitting on my desk!

    replied to Stretchy slalom lines
Pre-stretched means it will conform to AWSA specs during and after skiing. These rope still have “some” give or stretch to them when skiing. Hard to go wrong with Masterline. Made in the USA and great quality. I’m skiing Masterline’s Optimized 2.0 and it def has some give. Although the price...
