My suggestion would be the Acme 515. That is a keyed hub for the keyed and tapered shaft. Make sure you have that shaft configuration, but I think your 190 is indeed a keyed shaft (not spline). Your final call.
Remember the prop hub is tapered so it has to go on in a specific direction...

A few places supply the sender heat alarm. I have found them available here. Check yours for a visual comparison or get the one with the lower temperature alarm setting as linked. Please confirm this is the proper application, but I think it is. There is a red (or green) tag riveted to the port side...

Always a possibility of a longer cable. You guys have the longer hulls.
Back to the tell-tale...check the cable sheathing for the length to be stamped on one end or the other.
Or pull it and measure. :-)

I think there is a warning sensor for the transmission and then of course the engine temperature sending unit but that is on top of the engine. I suspect maybe the transmission warning sensor. No guarantees. The 89 is not terribly sophisticated with electronics, same in theory as my 93. Can't be too...

Here's a little of what little I know; Your hull is nearing or right at 21 feet. In the 19' Prostar I use a 17" cable and could get by with a 16', but I like the larger bend radius for the steering cable.
My guess is that the 18" for your hull will work.

The Edlebrock intake manifold has a taller plenum than the OEM. There is just not enough room to set the engine cover fully onto the floor. He had a skinny auto air filter on it (from the previous owner) but when he put the correct flame arrestor on it, there is where the issue came to light.

Thank you.
The beauty of the one I am doing is that it is an upholstered engine cover and has carpet around the bottom part. All I need is a little height and then I cover it with carpet.
Thanks again for the photos.

The trailer is what made me ask.
I'd do the X9 (209) or the MC Prostar 205. You are on the right track. You will like the X9 a lot aside from the low profile nose that likes to take a dip into rollers (your front passengers need to be aware. :-) ), which is where I like the 205 in that...Last edited by waterlogged882; 03-24-2023, 07:54 PM.

Have a look-see here. (no guarantee)
Long shot: call Ski Boats Parts on Line - 985-542-4336 and inquire.
I think anything close is suitable. The washer is not (technically) load bearing, just a smooth surface. The tiller arm mounted onto the rudder post is most of the load...Last edited by waterlogged882; 03-22-2023, 02:45 PM.

You need a Delrin material washer. There is no torque spec on the tiller arm (maybe so but I have not seen one for it) so that should be tight, as you know, the bolt is threaded through the arm clamp, then a nut is also locked onto that. Don't be the hero that twisted the bolt head off. :-)

A wolf in sheep's clothing. :-)
Here is one I ran across a good while back on my daily driver. Replace the bearings. They are closed face with no zerk. Your call.
Best on the predestined outcome. :-)

Best prices for pumps here. I don't like the gouge.
Plug and play. Rebuild will cost about $80, then the time and effort with a press. Vince makes it look easy. It's not that simple.
Your call. Best on the fix. I love my direct drive access. :-)
Don't overlook...

I have to do the same thing with another fellow's engine cover. Thanks for the guidance. I was pondering an approach.

The way I approach this; if the board needs sanding you should take it apart and sand in the joints, etc. Typically a board does not need sanding but some folks like that particular approach, which is each to their own.
The nasty look is mold spore and mildew in the shallow pores of the...Last edited by waterlogged882; 03-19-2023, 10:35 PM.

Probably 50 threads on this. It is like an oil thread...which oil do I use? LOL..
Search and read up. If I were to tell you what works for me, inevitably someone else will tell you different while swearing on their Granny's grave. However, the proof for me is in the outcome as shown below...Last edited by waterlogged882; 03-19-2023, 06:39 PM.
