    Grade-8 is regarding the strength not the type. You didnt use the bolt with stud like I pictured on the previous page. Your original allen head bolt with a large washer is virtually the same as you have now....

    Still got the wrong fastener type for the reasons already described. You cant properly torque the bellhousing to block with a bunch of cable lungs between the head and the bellhousing. You cant properly torque the cable lugs smashed between a bolt head and bellhousing....

    Grade-8 bolt and nut with star washer and never look back. If you needed some added comfort, hit the lugs with a couple coats of battery terminal spray....

    That needs to be bolt with a stud on top. This will allow for the proper torque between the engine and bolt, then, allowing the a nut to properly torque the cable lugs.
