I'm not hung up on the post counts other than I like the idea of seeing if someone posting has been an active member of the site, especially if they're selling something. We get a lot of 1 post wonders peddling their boats, parts, skis, whatever which is great but I have to say I feel a lot better buying...

I have never owned a Shoremaster but have owned and worked on quite a few Shorestations that I can give you my experience with. I always buy used and it would seem that by the time I get them something is broken or is going wrong with them, which BTW is probably why they're being sold in many cases....

    replied to Lubricating starter?
Being a low seasonal hour boater in the north with no saltwater even in site, I have never once greased the starter in any of my boats going back to my first boat at age 12. I have replaced burned up starters maybe 5 or 6 times on boats that I've owned or worked on for friends. Aside from my days starting...

  • If we're going to go back to "it's the carpet" again and the carpet is causing a $200K boat to blister after only 2 years (which BTW I don't buy for a second) due to no fault of the manufacture's layup or materials then it would seem obvious to me that the trailer manufactures need to start...

  • IDK if I buy what they're selling. If it's the carpet scratching the Gel Coat then why use carpet on those trailers for those $150K boats? Or at least tell customers when they buy a boat that it's common for the boat to develop blisters with the carpeted trailer bunks they're selling you. If the carpet...

So this seems to be working for me right now. If I come to the site, don't log in and hit "Today's Topics" then log in I'm left with Today's actual Topics. If I log in first "Today's Topics" disappears and I'm left with "New Topics" which is completely different. It's a...

  • Blisters can occur on any boat. Not sure how MC handles it with the lifetime hull warranty but it would be worth checking with HQ IF you are the original owner or transferred the warranty. If not you'll be on your own and this can get expensive. They'll need to sling the boat, grind the blisters to...

What am I missing here? The first picture is what my home page looks like when I'm not signed in (notice the "Today's Post". The second is what it looks like when I'm signed in. As soon as I sign in I can't see new post only new topics unless it's been moved somewhere. Anyone else seeing this?...

A couple things I just figured out.....
    • This is the same format as the Nautique site. This isn't all bad but if you think about it TT is now following Nautique's lead which may twist a couple people.
    • The like feature is not showing up in Firefox but is in Chrome so if you're not seeing the

    Ayone figure this out yet?

OK I get it, it's a new format but has anyone figured out how to see "new posts" like before? That was a great feature of the previous software where you could quickly see what had changed since your last visit. Also noticed there's still no like button,,,,, :-(

    On a positive...

  • No arguing black looks sleek and pretty in the show room or in the garage on the trailer but unless they've come out with "cool feel" black gel coat you'll sizzle on a sunny summer day. Water spots will also be a challenge as well. Heck the black accent colors on my boat are enough work for...
