When will MC offer non clamping surf racks?

    When will MC offer non clamping surf racks?

    The boards get too hot in the Bimini sleeves and I will not use the clamping racks for custom wakesurf boards. All the other manufacturers have a non clamping surfboard option. Why doesn't MC?

    It's actually a real turnoff and has me considering other brands that can build as good a wave and have the features I want.

    Probably never.

      I’ll never own a surf board I have to be careful with. Sucks the run out of it.

        Buy the Skylon racks.....they are clamping hit heavily padded. No issues with mine.

            Not what you were saying after riding my SC! Lol.

            Honestly, it wouldn’t be terribly difficult to modify your racks to run bungees. Or just don’t order racks and instead have the aftermarket versions.

                We run two custom boards up top in our the bimini but have the boards in surf sleeves too........never had a problem after two years. Non clampers would be cool, but if you don't have sleeves try a couple for a $100 or so and keep truckin.

                  It is my understanding that Mastercraft does manufacture non clamping racks for wakesurf boards. I say this because I own a 2017 NXT20 and it has non clamping racks. You have to use a bungee to secure you board. It's no X20 but still a MC and there may be an option to swap them out.

                    Those are the racks on the ZFT2 tower and do not work on the ZFT4 found on the X and XT models.

                        I have surf sleeves in the Bimini. The boards get too hot up there.

                            They do offer non clamping racks, they are on the NXT. Im sure you can order them on any new boat X or XT. My dealer also has some vertical type racks that you can put any custom surfer in. My dealer also told me they are getting some under the Bimini surf sleeves, not sure if they are from MC or what.

                            I had 2 custom boards I used on the surf board slot on my NXT racks, and they worked great.

                            Lots of options. FYI, I had a banged up SoulCraft that I tested out in my clamping board racks on my new to me x22 and it does not damage it. Also if it makes any difference one of the SoulCrafts I have put in it was an older one made by Jeff himself for one of his pro riders.

                              I guess no matter what you build you just can’t please them all. I always thought MC’s came with the best board racks in the business. Get on eBay and they sell the El cheapos for your board for under 200 bucks
