He proceeded to clamp it while it cured for 24 hours. 2nd picture is end result.

He also put a dowel in the front damaged part and filled that with epoxy as well.

I don't see any corroded connections at the battery, but perhaps down the line...

30MPG is certainly possible for a hybrid truck fitted correctly. I think the ford ecoboost can get mid 20s, but that's standard cab, no 4wd drive, barebones stuff. Not many people would go for this...
