I may have written something here. I can't remember how detailed, but after this level of detail, you will be getting into the diaphragm itself, and I think those are a replacement item at this time....

However that corrosion can be anywhere along the cable under the sheathing, thus my always recommendation; replace the entire cable(s), red and black.
