If you looked up "Customer Service" Lex Pearson would be on top of the list. He was a great asset to Rambo Marine, and the boating industry in general.

Are you referring to the upholstery on the hatch? If so, open the hatch, pull out the top pin on the actuator, the remove the two bolts on the rear of the platform, and take it and have it recovered.

All great answers, but if you have never changed one on a MariStar v-drive of this era, most of those suggestions won't work. I have found it easier to just remove the whole pump.
