Why not? Seems to me that the low end torque of electric motors would be the perfect thing to get heavy loads moving. The towing capacity is there unlike the old Silverado hybrids.

You will have to take out the MDC, remove the back cover...

The alarm is funky, and seems to only activate under certain conditions on some boats. Most of the time, the alarm doesn't turn on in our 190 either and the X-Star is missing the alarm entirely.

Check engine light and alarm (they are on the same circuit) will always be on prior to starting. If the light turns off but the alarm does not, you have a wiring fault somewhere.
