  • I wouldn't think the fasteners would be aluminum, more than likely they're stainless steel. I'd still be careful, however, as stainless is still fairly soft and can easily be damaged. I've removed several bolts from my ZFT3 tower and never noticed any evidence of a thread locker being used from the...

  • Do you need the entire seat (platform, foam, & vinyl) or are you looking to simply replace the vinyl on your existing seat? If you're only looking for a new vinyl skin, I recently used SewFine to make me all new vinyl skins and was very happy with the price, ordering process, and final result.

  • Well I ended up moving all power sources and grounds in my audio system direct to my house battery and the noise was still coming in through just my cabin speakers, sub and tower speakers were clear. This lead me to believe it could be bad speaker wires (which were installed new with my new amp), so...

replied to x2 cover any condition
I have a factory under-tower cover for a 2008 X2 that has a couple of rips in it. I was planning to have it repaired, but if you made a half-decent offer I'd sell it. Not sure if that type is what you're looking for or if you're looking for a freebie tho, I wouldn't be able to give it away.

  • Thanks for the reply, I swapped the head unit ground and it may have gotten slightly softer but it's still there. I'll try moving the head unit power as well and see if that solves the issue. If not, I'll take your advice and try a noise filter. Will report back later with results!

  • Ticking/Pulsating Noise in Audio System - Need Help

I'm looking for a bit of help diagnosing an issue in the audio system of my 2008 X2. I recently swapped in new tower speakers bridged to the existing JL M4500 amp, added a 5-channel Fusion amp to power the 4 interior speakers and single sub, and added a Roswell 2-zone volume controller to control interior...

    replied to 2022+ Tundra
I picked up a 2022 Tundra a few weeks ago and I'm loving it so far! I've only towed my MC once so far for maybe 10 minutes total, but I barely noticed the boat was back there! Certainly pulls better than my Tacoma did, in my very limited experience.

    replied to White plastic guides?
My two rear bench seats had a lot of movement to them, so I 3D printed a couple of these in polycarbonate, screwed them into the bottom, and it's been perfect ever since. I'd upload a CAD file, but if you have access to a 3D printer setup you could draw up new ones in just a couple of minutes. Really...

Another vote for the oil treatment. Give it a good sanding to remove all of the old stains and imperfections first and the oil will make it look like new!...

  • Thanks guys! The flooring came from a seller on Aliexpress, but I think it's likely that all of the options there or amazon or ebay are likely the same product. Installation was peel and stick, so it was very easy. Took much more time and effort simply removing the old carpet and snaps and cleaning...

    Offseason Upgrades

After one full season of ownership, the wife and I decided it was time for a few upgrades to our X2. We had all of our interior skins rebuilt by SewFine in coolfeel vinyl and I just finished up the installation this past weekend. Very happy with the entire process as well as the results. We also...

replied to I need tower help asap
Congrats on the new rig! Tower is a ZFT3, and is easy enough to lower for storage, although it takes a few minutes and requires a bit of of muscle. First, un-clip both of the electrical connections and unscrew and remove the clamps shown in photo 4. On the rear tower bases, loosen the rear knobs slightly...

  • I have a 2008 model which is the only boat I've ever owned so I don't have much to compare it to, but I still have a few notes. First of all, I have been more than pleased with my decision to buy it. For me it's right in the sweet spot of having all of the things I need, has plenty of modern creature...

replied to Foam spec for a 2006-11 X2
Hmm, interesting we're experiencing the same problems! Anyhow, I measured my foam from those same pieces and it measures 3" in most spots, but up to 3.5" at some points. I'm also leaning towards 3" thick for new foam, and if it needs a boost in any areas cut some of the old foam to...

I'm searching for some of the same info. Specifically the bow and stern bench seats. If it's of any help to you, I have my 2008 X2 interior disassembled and would be happy to measure anything for you if you can tell me which specific pieces you need measurements for, provided that my pieces are not...
