Bummer, have not had this specifically happen but I’ve repaired other binding issues using Radar’s lace lock kit that is generally available for $19.99. Should include the piece you need plus new laces and end clip.

Recently we had to move mom to an assisted living arrangement & I’ve been busy trying to get her house on the market before the interest rates get too crazy. Feels like I’m in a race with...

Still dialing our 50th Star for surfing but so far it has been awesome! I hear if you add the unofficial “pro ballast feature” made popular by FourFourty or load up with about 300lb lead amidships it is a force to to be reckoned with.
Out of the box, the Star & X24 have reportedly...

There should be a set of numbers on the strut that show the extended length and pressure in Lbs or you can measure the extended length in inches. If you google this or look on eBay. or Amazon you should see a number of replacement options. I replaced most of mine last fall. Replacement is very easy...Last edited by jackpine; 05-20-2022, 01:18 AM.

Thanks MCOR I just bought this shorter drain plug because two MC Dealers didn't have anything else to fit my boat
I don't have T-Rex arms, but dang the center plug in a current model XStar is a long reach!...

One helpful tip, a Cancun surf instructor was adamant about coming up after a fall with your arms extended overhead. Apparently. it gives you. a better chance of defending yourself against a rogue board should one be headed your way.
I often think about that but have been lucky to only...

Glad to hear everyone is OK from their injuries, some of these stories are pretty intense!
Last season I encouraged my sister-in-law to try surfing and she gave it a valiant effort only to twist her knee on one of her tries... she can't even downhill ski now due to this.
On...

I realize this is an old thread, but I recently lost the center nylon drain plug - it was literally blown out of the boat trailering to the launch as it sat in the storage area near the throttle.
Trying to replace it with the original has been interesting. I believe it is MC Part number...Last edited by jackpine; 05-17-2022, 12:33 PM.

I am working on this upgrade thanks to Fourfourty’s instructions here. I think this thread is a bit different than the one you are proposing.
Although I am still dialing in my setup, the experts on TT have indicated this gen XStar rides best if you add 50% of added weight near the bow...

These posts pretty much sum it up for me:
No way... Mastercraft or Super Air Naut does the same thing and costs way less.7REPLY

Better as well. This thing is all show, surf wave looks awful for 12k of ballast. Looks like...

Yeah, maybe you are right... it is definitely a different boat than the one demoed in this YouTube video from July 2021:
Are Pavati Boats Really Worth $400,000 Or Drastically Overpriced??...Last edited by jackpine; 05-11-2022, 01:15 AM.

Some folks have done it here: https://teamtalk.mastercraft.com/for...14#post2216514
Although it sounds like with this generation XStar, you really need to compensate with weight up front as well....
