Not sure how sun stream rates their lifts but make sure your lift is really rated for 6000lbs. The lift I have is a 5000lb lift. But it is rated at 2500 lbs per cross member. So considering most of the weight is in the back of the boat on a V Drive you can go over the lift capacity really quick.

replied to Software update, Fuel Gauge issue
I had the same issue on mine. It isn't the software or the fuel management system. It has to do with the amount of ethanol in the gas that you are using. Here is the email I received from my dealer to fix mine. I ran a couple of tanks of ethanol blended gas and went back to non-ethanol gas and my...

  • Dealer had my boat over the winter to fix a few warranty items and they did the recall before I got it back a few weeks ago. Then I got a call from the dealer this past Friday that they needed to come out and do another recall to the recall they already did. They came out that day and did it. I didn't...

Mastercraft changed the tower design on the 2008 PS 197. It is not the same as the 2007. The mounting points might be close but definetly not the same.

The boat in the driveway has a 2007 tower. The boat in the shop has 2008 tower....

  • My buddy has the diamond hull on his VTX. I might give a slight advantage to the VTX slalom wake but really they are pretty similar.

  • I have spent a lot of time in both boats over the past couple years. One of my buddies has a 2016 VTX, another buddy has the XT20 and I have an XT20. Are you ordering or buying one off the lot? From a cost stand point the VTX spec'd out the way I wanted it was about $10k less than the XT20 spec'd...

I also had a heater on my LY6. I would disconnect both lines from the thermostat housing then blow out the water just using lung power. Then I would raise one line up so it is higher than the heater core and put the other line in the bottom of the bilge. Then I would dump RV antifreeze into the raised...

If you go from running on a hose then shutting off the engine then running the raw water pump intake line into a 5 gallon pail of RV antifreeze I would bet you won't get antifreeze into the block. The thermostat won't open and allow the antifreeze into the block in the short time it takes the raw water...

I had a 2008 LY6 minus the Cat manifolds. I winterized it myself for 12 years. I agree with all of your disconnection points. I left the block dry for the winter for 12 years and never had an issue. I tried doing a wet block with RV antifreeze the first couple years and it was difficult to get the...

Definitely the 26 foot canopy. According to the manual your boat is 24'6" long with the platform.

MY MC is in a boat house and my pontoon is on my Floe lift. I have pontoon boat is considered a 22' boat but in actuality it is just over 24' with motor. The 26' canopy on the floe...

Several of my friends and I have Floe VSD 5000 boat lifts (6 total). We had shorestation lifts prior, but they were older versions so I am not sure what their offerings are now. I would highly recommend going with the Floe VSD. They are super quiet and fast for operation and have been good lifts...

There is a recall on all of these fuel systems that needs to be done. Take it to your dealer and they will do it. Not sure how far back it goes but I do believe it includes 2018.

What is the lake like that you are putting it on? My lift is on a lake that fluctuates a lot. Most people on our lake go with battery lifts as we have to move our lifts a couple times a summer depending on water levels. A few of my friends have battery powered floe vertical ballscrew drive lifts...
