The new JL Audio MM100S MediaMaster source unit is a great piece. I received a beta test unit for our store use last month, and I have already got the new units in stock. This is brand new stuff and even JL Audio doesn't have it on their website yet.
We spent several weeks putting this...

Sorry, I've already left the office for the weekend but to address your questions, our store is in Texas and our software assumes a Texas sale (with Texas sales tax) until you enter a shipping address outside of Texas. At that point the software will remove your sales tax. I'll also pay the shipping,...

Mike, thanks for the opportunity to earn your business. I apologize for the delayed response. This time of year, and especially leading up to a major "boat holiday" like July 4th, it can get crazy around here. And I really try to give every customer as much time as they need to get them...

Last I heard it was August, but ship dates on new products frequently change several times. I hate to sound vague, but until I see them I wouldn't put too much stock in estimated ship dates. Too many variables at play that could change the date.

Thanks for the kind words, you definitely jumped into a big job on that one. Sounds like you got it all done, looking forward to seeing the finished product pics. These big DIY installs are a lot of work but they can be really rewarding when you're finished, knowing that you built it all yourself...

Really nice mounts, and a good job by Wet Sounds for making these. There are actually 4 different mounts, 2 for EQ under dash with volume control port (black and silver) and 2 for EQ flushed in dash (black and silver). They are all very nicely made and when you hold them in your hand you can tell...

180 watts per HP770 is OK. A little more power wouldn't be bad, but it's not going to make a dramatic difference. You will want to cross those speakers over a littler higher to get better projection and protect the driver, and there's no reason to not cross them over higher since the 770's in that...

I'd like to add that in our area (Dallas, Texas...no saltwater) we have installed many automotive subs in boats, and seen many automotive subs installed in boats, and I cannot recall ever replacing a JL Audio automotive sub that was properly powered, properly installed in a correct enclosure (with the...

Two very uniquely different products, both excellent choices. If you're comparing 1 pair of REV10 to 1 pair of HP770 then the REV10 will be the winner in the overall performance category, but it's also half again as big as the HP770. The HP770 is more in line with the REV8 in terms of compqrisons....

If you are adding substantial subs, like multiple-compounding W3s, W6s or W7s, definitely 86 the factory IB 10-inch subwoofer. As a free-air sub goes, the JL Audio M series is the best, but as an IB it is certainly limited. More importantly is that there is no way of having a uniform phase response...

I agree with what MLA said. And even if you don't do a sub, a small amp on the speakers can help add depth and dynamics to the music even at lower volumes. But if you do want to do a radio and speakers only, your list is a good one. The JL MX650 speakers are a great choice. The radio selection really...

That's a good plan, and a LOT of power for the subs.
I like the 2 amp setup for a variety of reasons. In addition to the things I mentioned above, 2 amps means 2 separate power supplies instead of a single power supply trying to keep up with the demands of the entire system, and 2 heat...

The 800/8 can be a good choice, depending on your application. But running it in 8-channel mode would not be my first recommendation for dpolen's application.
The reason is this...the 800/8 amplifier will put out 75 watts per channel at 4-ohms, 100 watts per channel at 2-ohms and 200...
