My boat is older, so... On mine there is a temp sender for the gauge, one for the ECM and one that is skinny that is a switch for the light on the dash. The one for the ECM probably looks like this:

When the coolant temp sensor is telling the ECM the engine is cold, it runs richer until it warms up, simulating the choke on carbureted engines. It is a fairly common failure point and a relatively inexpensive part.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the kind comments. She is currently ranked #8 in collegiate women! (There has only been one tournament this year and she finished 8th, so... I don't have to tell anyone that part though)

Time Flies
It was October 15, 2010 when I dragged her home, I had no idea it would work out so well for my daughter. From sitting in the bow on day one to skiing her first ever tournament for her school, it has been fun to watch. She and her little sister love to ski and I love to pull them. We have made so...

Using a breaker as a switch might not be the best situation, but it isn't going to cause the symptoms you are describing. I would disconnect the amplifier from the battery and see how the circuits behave.

If your struts are good and you just need the clip, I might have one on an old strut. If you can wait a couple days I will look around my shop and see if I can find one.

The loom for the crankshaft position sensors is on the bottom.
This diagram is for the auto application, but the CPS loom location is the same.

As I recall, the plug on the bottom right went to the camshaft position sensor on the NorthStar equipped Cadillacs and the bottom left goes to the crankshaft position sensors.
