When I ordered mine, Evolution didn’t have a cover that covered the platform/transom, and didn’t extend much past the rub rail. Maybe that is available as a special order request? SBCDC’s basic waterline cover provided much more protection from fading....

Same thing happened to my 92 a couple of years ago, after a slalom run just idling along. More than likely as Waterlogged suggested it’s either the coil or electronic ignition module in the distributor.I have a pair of replacement modules for sale in Buy/Sell forum. A new module combined with a Pertronix...

I also drop the Morse controller down every so often and inspect, clean and lube. There is a pin assembly that is subject to wear and good to keep an eye on....

I think you’ve 100% got your priorities in order. The great thing about these older MCs is…they are extremely well made, simple to maintain and other than the price of gas lately, inexpensive to operate. I’m a big advocate for using and upgrading over time and TT is a great resource to help with...

The synopsis of your response is what I typed and then deleted. This is a good performance upgrade for the 351w running Prestolite EI module (or converted to Pertronix), beyond that platform I don't have the knowledge....and since this isnt' Facebook MasterCraft....... I won't just make up the answer...

Prestolite / Pertronix IE Modules - 2pk (PNX-91589) For Sale
These are the Pertronix modules designed to replace the OEM electronic ignition modules common in Prestolite distributors from around 1990 on. Pertronix part# 91589. The OEM Prestolite modules were very robust, but over time can fail/burn out. I ended up replacing my Prestolite distributor and no longer...

I think you'll be happy with your decision. Can't remember what coil you're running but Pertronix Flamethrower II is recommended....

Unfortunately I don't have a spare but need to order one to keep on my boat. I picked the Pertronix distributor based on price and availability -Summit Racing had a great price for Next Day. Doing it over, I’d look at Mallory and Davis (DUI) too. They are more $$$, but might not be prone to module...

The EI module for the Prestolite distributor is part (PNX-91589). A new Pertronix distributor, part number (PNX-D231801) uses module part (PNX-D500700). In other words the module you purchased is of no use to you if you decide later to buy a new distributor. But if your original Prestolite distributor...

Great looking top end build. My suggestion based on experience with the OEM Prestolite distributor using a Pertronix module….bite the bullet and purchase a new Pertronix distributor. It’s a nice upgrade and worth the difference in cost of that module you’ve ordered assuming you can return it for...

I sent the gray rear bench seat cushion from my 92 to Viper a couple of years ago. They got very close on the color match, there is slightly less texture on the new vinyl but the overall look is so close…it blends really well. You might want to give them a call....

Not sure what ski she was on before the Omni, but i've been riding a carbon Omni for 2 years and love it. Post a follow up after she's had a chance to rip it up on the Omni!

Not speaking for waterlogged, but I switched to the Pertronix distributor and the Ignitor II coil. It's not hype, the extra juice from the Ignitor II is what you need.
Also, my last wires came from Indmar, for the 351w. The length is plenty long enough for the pertronix distributor but...
